The Jackass crew is back and just as bold and daring as ever. Earlier this year, Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man and more returned for Jackass Forever, the fourth film in the overall franchise. Now fans are getting even more from the group as Netflix announced the upcoming release of Jackass 4.5, a new movie comprised of cut footage from Jackass Forever.

Despite what people might think about the group waning in popularity, Jackass Forever delivered a strong box office return, even outgrossing Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi epic Moonfall, so it’s not too surprising that the gang wants to continue cashing in on the lucrative film series.

The “.5” format isn’t new to the franchise either, as fans know the gang has previously made installments like Jackass 2.5 and Jackass 3.5, consisting of unseen footage, outtakes, interviews and more. Apparently when they were making Jackass Forever, they realized they had enough footage for two films, hence 4.5 was born.

Jackass 4.5 Netflix release date

You won’t have to wait long to see Jackass 4.5. The film is coming to Netflix on May 20. Netflix typically releases projects at 12:00 a.m. PT / 3:00 a.m. ET. However, you’ll want to make sure you watch the movie sooner, rather than later, as the film will only stream on Netflix until 2024. After that, it will go to Paramount+ since it is a Paramount Pictures production.

Jackass 4.5 cast

Besides Steve-O, Knoxville, Wee Man and Pontius, the new film will also feature Dave England, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy. Jackass Forever included tons of cameos and guest appearances from stars like Machine Gun Kelly, Tyler, The Creator, Rob Dyrdek and Eric André, but it’s not clear who will also be in Jackass 4.5. Keep in mind that this isn’t a newly-filmed movie, but a compilation of everything they couldn’t fit in Jackass Forever.

Jackass 4.5 trailer

Netflix didn’t release an official trailer yet, but they did share a clip to tease what fans can expect from the upcoming film. Below you can get a glimpse of the “Swingset Gauntlet,” which is par for the course when it comes to the kind of stunts and stupidity we’ve come to expect from the crew!
