Basic Life Support (BLS) Course

Course Background
Basic life support (BLS) training reinforces healthcare professionals’ understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing CPR, choking relief, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. This video-based, instructor-led  AHA’s BLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Course Test
To complete the BLS Course for Healthcare Providers, Candidate should able to demonstrate the skills of adult and infant CPR and use of AEDs  
A post-course written MCQ examination will be issued. Passing rate is 84%.
Language  : English , supplemented with Cantonese

Intended Candidate
Personnel who are working in emergency, intensive care, critical care or acute departments/wards; emergency medical providers such as medical officers, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics and other professionals who need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency in infants and children.
