Neil Weir

Neil Weir (b.1961) is a British musician who recorded and played live with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark in the 1980s. He is the brother of Graham Weir.

Graham first came into contact with OMD as a member of Fiction Factory's live band, who were the support act on the Junk Culture tour. The Weir brothers ended up playing brass parts for both bands on the tour. They had also appeared on Top of the Pops miming to the brass parts on Locomotion.

The Weirs went on to record in the studio on OMD's next album Crush, again playing on the relative tour, and again on The Pacific Age where they had effectively become full group members.

The brothers have writing credits with Paul Humphreys for the OMD track (Forever) Live and Die.
