About
Seven Falls is a magnificent series of waterfalls located in a 1,400-foot-tall box canyon outside Colorado Springs. Several walking and hiking trails, as well as delectable dining options await. From the parking lot, ride the free shuttle to the park’s entrance. Then enjoy a leisurely walk of .8 miles through the canyon to the base of the falls, where you can tackle two sets of staircases to further enjoy the views or take the elevator to reach Eagles Nest observation deck. Enjoy Restaurant 1858 for Colorado cuisine or Falling Waffles for a delicious bubble waffle treat. If you're looking for an adrenaline-filled experience, zip line over South Cheyenne Creek with Broadmoor Soaring Adventures. Parking and tickets for zip lining are separate.

- EnzoX2376 contributionsBring your own waterMost commercialized of all our Colorado experiences. Long shuttle ride to the site, close to a mile walk uphill to the falls, and then the stairs. Adding in the amount of hydration you need to adjust to Colorado elevation, you should carry in a lot of water. If you need to buy it at the park, distilled water graciously served at $5 per bottle.Visited May 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten June 18, 2023
- Glenda A10 contributionsFamily vacation following concertA beautiful spot. We’ll worth a visit by anyone. It has been fully developed since it the last time I was there, over 25 years ago. You have to appreciate the hard work put into the place over the years. Mother Nature is awe inspiring. I love the mountains!!!Visited June 2023Traveled with familyWritten June 27, 2023
- Jeanne D2 contributionsStill beautiful but much room for improvement!Seven Falls was one of our favorite destinations in Colorado Springs. I read the history and understand the problems incurred by flooding and the takeover by the Broadmoor. We enjoyed the new experience very much and were so glad to see it lit up at night! However, it was totally ruined by the early closing of the gift shop, the ice cream shop and the extremely long wait for the shuttle. Some customer service problems to resolve.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 3, 2023
- Bob AngryMelbourne, Florida1,488 contributionsThere is an elevator! In search of adventure, we found this park in our Google results. My girl was looking for something to test our skill today, so I quickly grabbed online tickets and asked Waze to help us get there. Pro-tip! Check on parking first! This weekend, it was relocated to a local high school with shuttle busses to get you back and forth. We saw others struggling to figure that out. Oh, and the bus driver may not actually slow down for speed bumps so try not to sit in back. Once in the park, the walk is paved, flat, and scenic. You can pay $4 for a tram ride up, but we chose to walk it. We were pleasantly surprised to learn of the elevator to the first observation area. A nice break and AC too! Then we headed to the scary steps leading up the rest of the way. We did not pass that test... way too scary. We turned around halfway and made our way back to solid land and were glad to be off those steps. Good luck.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 16, 2023
- Lorna B7 contributionsAverage VisitIf you choose to go do this I would definitely recommend doing it when it is cooler. Riding a shuttle bus down it was very hot and then walking up to the falls it was hot as well. I feel like a lot is outdated and definitely room for improvement.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 18, 2023

- bjia34Marion, Iowa63 contributionsAmazing Views, Plan Ahead For ParkingThe views here are gorgeous but you need to plan ahead for parking. We would recommend taking the shuttle bus if you can. Parking is sparse so plan on extra time in your trip for parking/shuttle/etc. But the views and scenery are awesome and worth the trip.Visited August 2023Written August 26, 2023
- Linda T56 contributionsWonderful Experience. Great Value! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Seven Falls. Online reservations were easy to make. The shuttle pick up at the Norris Penrose Event Center was easy with free parking. 10 minutes later we arrived at the falls entrance. The bottom of the falls is .8 mile from the shuttle drop off. You can walk on a beautiful paved road for 20 minutes as we did or get a tram for $4. The tram is free for 60 years and older. The walk to the bottom of the falls was a highlight. You're surrounded by the tall cliffs, walking by a stream with lovely flower baskets along the way. You can view the falls from below or walk up 224 stairs to the top. The stairs take you along the side of the falls and feel a bit exposed but are fun to do. My husband and I are active mid 60's, early 70's and had no problem doing the stairs. We took our time and used the railings. Another viewpoint can be accessed by either stairs or elevator. It was a bargain for $18 including the shuttle from the parking lot. Highly recommended.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 11, 2023
- Irene S17 contributionsChallengeThis is a wonderful attraction! The manager, Wendi, makes sure that all guests are well taken care of! I left my bag in the Shuttle and she made sure that I got it. She even gave me some water while I waited. That is Excellent Customer Service! If you are staying at The Broadmoor, a shuttle conveniently takes you there and picks you up! I challenged myself to go up the 224 steps and am happy to say that I did it!Visited September 2023Traveled soloWritten September 30, 2023
- NJORGAN13 contributionsGreat!!!It was a great October Friday afternoon. Not too busy. Temp about 50. A little chilly to start the hike, dressed in layers and had gloves, and it was great! The shuttle from the parking lot was quick and easy. Once on site, the steady incline was an easy walk, or you can pay to ride a shuttle. The elevator up to the eagles nest area was a good way to the top, or take the stairs. The view was fabulous! Then we went up the falls side of the stairs. The falls were impressive! We also went around and continued up the 10 minute trail, and recommend going that route. The staff was nice. The park was clean. We spent more time there than I anticipated, 2.5 hours, and could have stayed longer. There is another trail to do that was 40 minutes.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 6, 2023

They don’t have enough shuttles — overall, we ended up waiting over an hour for transportation. Walking up the staircase, we also waited ~30 minutes because groups take turns. I appreciate the caution taken to prevent COVID, but since the the falls themselves weren’t too impressive, either, I’d recommend people wait until after the pandemic.
Not worth the 16 dollars, especially with the myriad cheaper beauties near Colorado Springs.

Add more ahuttle busses coming and going. Can no longer drive to 7 falls as the Broadmore has evidently purchased it? You must go to a gravel parking lot at the Broadmore, wait in a very long line for a bus(40 minutes for us) then ride the bus to where you used to be able to drive up and park. Then you get to an iron locked gate. You buy your tickets and then walk .8 mile to the falls or pay extra 2.00 for a shuttle and you wait again(15 minutes). Closes at 6 no longer light the falls at night. No native American show, the old gift shop has been converted to a restaurant that was closed. The Broadmoor had added ziplines and rappelling activities to the one quiet and serene area. After you see the falls you reverse walk .8 miles down or shuttle. Then you get to wait for another bus or shuttle to take to back to lot( 1 hour for us) so basically your adding 3 hours of riding, waiting time to see the falls. Not sure how a private company can buy a waterfall area. Have been going for 40 years and will never ever return as the Broadmoor is running but only a money grab but they do not supply ample transportation to move the masses to the falls.

The falls are beautiful, but getting there is a pain.
It’s overpriced for what it is and they charge you to ride the tram from the gate to the falls. Also, you now have to park miles away from the falls and they have to bus you in about 10 or 15 minutes to the falls.
When we went, they didn’t tell us the elevator was broken so my friend was hardly able to see the falls and my young children were too scared to climb all the stairs. (Which also scared me a bit bc they were very open steps.)
Also, we went 15 years ago and what is now the restaurant used to be an amazing gift shop.
2 stars bc the falls are beautiful and the portable bathrooms are surprisingly clean and nice. (It was a bathroom trailer!)

One of our very favorite places to relax and eat in Colorado Springs. We've taken a number of guests who have expressed delight at the restaurant, the food, the ambiance, the trip in and out. We feel Seven Falls is definitely worth the "price of admission".

did not make it there but used my map app that took me to the Broodmoor resort center. did not know or missed reading that you park there, pay your fee and then take a probable 30 minute shuttle bus ride to the falls.
in August the parking lot was fairly full but the buses ran regularly and appear to be well organized.

7 falls has always been one of my favorite attractions in Colorado Springs but the changes they have made since you can no longer park at the falls have made it not worth going. They have you park in a dusty gravel parking lot and stand out in the heat while there running small shuttles to and from 7 falls. It’s the same way when your ready to go back to your vehicle they have you line up on a trail in the woods and wait for a shuttle. Half of out time for this attraction was waiting for a shuttle. I will go back but I would have a Uber drop me off at the front gate and pick me back up. Also the restaurant is closed.also they are only open Friday - Monday 10-6 so you no longer get to see the falls at night with the lights on them.

This was first visit in several years. WHAT A WASTE! First thier COVID changes are a joke. You now must park and ride shuttle to ticket booth. Wearing mask on shuttle is understandable. But once you ride to ticket booth they charge you to ride last 1/2 mile to gate. No mask required then. Once you make the long walk bar and grill closed. The golden trout are gone. Only open during the day. In the past the night viewing was wonderful. Now just dirty small creek waterfalls.. They make you walk up the 244 steps one way. They tell you when you can go up. Crowded together up the stairs, no mask. Then the make you huddle at the top, no mask, till time to come down. Only gift shop is open. Allow only few people at a time in store, mask required. The day we arrived it was 98 degrees. The only water available was at gift shop were 4 people at a time were allowed. 244 steps in the extreme heat is very stressful for many people. We were very disappointed and will not return.

I had seen these falls years ago but went back with my hubby to see them. Evidently we chose a good time as the falls were running full on and were breathtaking. We were told by an employee that by August/September it could be just a trickle. There were far too many steps for us to climb to the top but now they have an elevator to the Eagle’s Nest at least. And we went to the bottom to see the pool there. Something we didn’t expect was that the parking is miles from the falls. There are shuttles to take you to the gate where you pay and they do offer a seniors discount. It’s a ways from where the shuttle drops you up to the falls but for $2 per person you can ride the tram both ways, certainly worth it for us. Quite a few visitors had dogs with them and it’s a family atmosphere.

I read “good reviews” plus we planned to visit The Broadmoor, so on September 4th we went to Seven Falls after walking around the beautiful and elegant resort. Things turned bad immediately when we arrived Norris Event Center parking lot. There were more than 100 people waiting in line under the sun at over 90 degree, no shades no cover, you just stood there and waited! The shuttle buses came almost every 15-20 minutes, they were small shuttle buses, each bys could only seat 14 people, occasionally there was a big bus, but only took few people. A lot of people gave up and left after waiting for a while. I insisted and waited more than an hour and finally got on a bus. After 15 minutes, we arrived at the entrance of Seven Falls, another small line to get tickets, $17/adult plus $2/person for a shuttle bus to the foot of falls. Then you started climbing 224 steps on a narrow steel stairs, people brush each other up and down. The fall itself was small and the water came from a pipe! Neither spectacular nor beautiful, just seven layers of small water. The trail was ok, nothing was “wow-able”. The gift shop was on the other side, you can take elevator which required another line or you could climb on the steel stairs. The shop was very small and not much stuff, $12 for a small bag of Pikes Peak rocks (more like dust!)
Again, you waited for long time for a shuttle back to the entrance then another long line back to the parking lot, this time took us 45 minutes to get on the shuttle bus!
I thought it was because of the Labor Day weekend, but I saw other review, this happened to the normal weekday too, so it happened all the time, the management really should take care of the shuttle service. Just as the other reviewer said, Seven Falls doesn’t deserve the name of The Broadmoor. I want my money back!

We arrived a couple minutes before 10am and the line at the parking lot was already super long! We waited approximately 29 minutes to jump on a shuttle (it was the 4th shuttle of the day) so the wait wasn’t as long as I read in other reviews however if the line was past the “1-hour” wait line I would have called an Uber to the entrance. Especially since you’re waiting in the HOT sun ☀️
Once at the entrance you can pay for the $2 shuttle to the falls but I highly recommend you walk to see all the amazing views.
The stairs was quite a workout especially since I live in the Caribbean I was out of breathe rather quickly since we did not acclimate to the altitude yet. Afterwards we headed up to Inspiration Point which is so worth it! I highly recommend you take this path and if you have energy do the other easier hike as well

Can you take the shuttle to the elevator, then the elevator up? How far up the falls does the elevator go?

No, when we were there the elevator was not working. To get to the elevator you still need to walk or take another shuttle about a mile up the park. The elevator does not go up seven falls though it goes up to an elevated area that has a shop. The only way to go up seven falls is by stairs.
what is the best time to catch the shuttle and is it free? What times are they open. Who do I call to see if we can make reservations? What days are usually the busiest?

Is it usually open in early April? The website just says it opens back up in spring, which I thought would include April, but I’m seeing other places say mid May. Just want to be prepared.

Depending on you and how fast your moving. But I would say a good hour would do it. Call them before you go because their hours are based on current events. They close at 7 or 8. So again call them before you go.

Agree with another post...I also saw some people walking their dogs up those steep flights of steps. There is 2 sets of steps getting to the top. There are NO additional barriers along the handrails other than what is standard, so if your pet slipped or fell off the side, probably a bad situation. I would not walk mine up those steps, I love mine too much to risk potential injury to them or myself.
