It's just been revealed when Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be touching down in theaters. The film, which will mark the second movie set in the DCU, will be hitting the big screen about one year after Superman.

Per Variety, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has been set to debut in movie theaters on June 26, 2026. The movie getting its release date follows the previous casting of its lead star. Milly Alcock, who rose to fame with her role in the first season of the hit Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon, is playing the DCU's Supergirl. There has been speculation that she could first debut as the character in Superman or another DCU project, potentially a small-screen series on Max, before leading her own film.

The Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie was first announced by James Gunn and DC Studios co-chief Peter Safran in January 2023. Later, the project would reveal Ana Nogueira (The Vampire Diaries) as its writer and Craig Gillespie (Cruella) as its director. Alcock's casting was announced in January 2024, and Gunn later confirmed that she was his first choice for the role after catching her performance in Season 1 of House of the Dragon.
