Serious Question - Why Does Garfield Hate Mondays So Much?

So I was rewatching The Garfield Show, and it got me to question why the hell is that damn cat complaining about Mondays so damn much. Like he has no job, he doesn't go to school or do anything on Monday that is really of note. Like most people, hate Mondays because school or work usually starts, however he is a cat who is feed by his enabler Jon on various Italian dishes. He's a cat he pretty much just sleeps, shits, does cat stuff that's it. I know this is kind of a weird ass question.

Garfield likes to be alone or at least not have Jon around, if you have ever watched The 2008 Garfield Show, he gets excited when Jon is gone.
