  • Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount Bridport, 1st and 1st Baron Bridport (1726–1814) younger brother of Samuel Hood, 1st Viscount Hood. The Irish barony was created with special remainder, failing heirs male of his body, to Samuel Hood, 2nd son of his nephew Henry Hood, of Catherington, co. Hampshire, with remainder to the heirs male of the body of, his uncle, Alexander Hood, late of Mosterton, co. Dorset.
  • Samuel Hood, 2nd Baron Bridport (1788–1868) his great nephew. Married Lady Charlotte Mary Nelson, 3rd Duchess of Bronté, only daughter of William Nelson, 1st Earl Nelson.
