“The film Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper is making its way out in the WORLD thanks to earMUSIC.  The seven year journey continues.  The film tells the story of four friends having fun playing together….playing better than ever in fact. It also shines some light on me and my inner workings as a music fan. Alice, Dennis, Neal, Michael, and myself celebrating a band’s great songs without the trappings of its over-the-top stage show of lore. It is like you are sitting in on a band rehearsal but the sound is AMAZING. That is due to the stellar performance of the guys who were joined by Ryan Roxie that night. It also helps it was mixed by Bob Ezrin & Justin Cortelyou. It sounds like a 20,000 seat arena but the film helps to remind you it was at a record store of all places. We all had smiles from ear to ear. A magical night that you can get some insight by watching the film if you weren’t lucky enough to be there. This is the first time it will be available on CD so you can listen to the greatness of the Alice Cooper group on the go. The CD comes with a blu-ray and ALL LPs come with a DVD.  The LP & CD also feature the bonus track “Desperado” recorded the night before by the three OGs.

By 1974, the Alice Cooper group had risen to the upper echelon of rock stardom… and then, parted ways. In October 2015, over 40 years later, record store owner and superfan Chris Penn convinced the original line-up to reunite for a very special performance at his record store Good Records in Dallas, Texas.

Alice Cooper (vocals), Michael Bruce (guitar), Dennis Dunaway (bass) and Neal Smith (drums) were joined on stage by Alice’s current guitarist Ryan Roxie (standing in for the late Glen Buxton). A packed audience, believing they had come to Good Records for Dennis Dunaway’s ‘Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!’ book signing, were surprised to bear witness to a full-blown happening.

The historic reunion show including all-time classics such as “No More Mr. Nice Guy”, “I’m Eighteen” and “School’s Out” is now becoming available for the very first time worldwide. Luckily the event was documented. “Live From The Astroturf, Alice Cooper” (edited and directed by Steven Gaddis) toured the world to the acclaim of music fans and rock journalists alike. The documentary won multiple awards for its coverage of the historic event. Now all Alice Cooper fans and rock music lovers across the globe can enjoy this movie as it’s included as a video bonus to this live album.
