Walter Lang Obituary
Walter O. Lang, 98, of Pittsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 in Greenland, NH.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 2-6PM at J Verne Wood Funeral Home – Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth. The Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 472 Ocean Road, Portsmouth. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 990 Middle Road, Portsmouth with full military honors. A reception will be held at the Greenland Congregational Church Parish House, 44 Post Road, Greenland (Next to Library), parking at school on the same day at 3 PM.
Walter attended Weymouth High School and went on to graduate from Yale University and Wesleyan University.
He proudly served in the WWII Navy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 472 Ocean Rd, Portsmouth, NH 03801 and/or Harborside Hospice, 23 Atkinson Depot Rd. Suite 105, Plaistow NH 03865.
