Tony Sheehan is a television producer, director, and writer, best known for working on such programs as the classic police station sitcom "Barney Miller" and the blue-collar family hit "The King of Queens," among others. A graduate from Notre Dame High School, in Sherman Oaks, California, Sheehan got his start on the writing staff of "Barney Miller," eventually rising to take director and producer roles on the show during its lengthy run. By the mid 1980s, Sheehan landed his next standout gig, as an executive producer and writer on the endearing family sitcom "Mr. Belvedere." His edgier work in tandem with gifted comic actress Tracey Ullman on her HBO sketch comedy series "Tracey Takes On..." during the 1990s resulted in both CableACE Award and Writers Guild of America Award wins. The late 1990s and early 21st century saw Sheehan lend his production and/or writing talents to two other popular sitcoms, the opposites-attract romantic comedy "Dharma & Greg" and the Kevin James vehicle "The King of Queens."
