I need some advice for setting up some boss fights on an adventure maps. I want to have a variety of bosses and I’m just in the brainstorming phase right now. What are some of your favorite styles of bosses and why? What would you suggest for designing a boss?

to begin with simple basics, it’d be nice to have the entire stage themed to fit the boss. second, have the boss be a titan compared to the player(s), make them feel immersed and challenged. finally, if you’re into different types of bosses, have some being defeated with complex sort of challenges, or puzzles? for example, in the ending for Bioshock, you’d have to damage Atlas until you can actually take away his health by absorbing the adam that keeps him alive. do something similar such as this for your bosses, maybe it’ll turn out better than you think! happy building!
