I like that the campus is relatively small but the staff is very helpful and I look forward to continuing my educational journey at this campus.
San Bernardino Valley College is a very good college to enroll in as a first generation student. Although I had a rough start not knowing what classes to take and becoming accustomed to the college coursework, I would recommend this school to everyone. The staff cares greatly about helping out new students and there are free, fun events on campus monthly.
Great school for community based if someone wanted to get involved. Changes are coming to the campus and hopefully it gets better.
It's a great school with a lot of resources, I like it and enjoy my time here. However, the campus is situated on a bad area.
The campus is beautiful which caught my attention. I like to take walks around the gardens and the the scenery is calm. Some of my professors were great at teaching material, some felt like they were rushing to get you to a mid term, but this is ONLY from my classes which mostly consisted of math, english and some of my Major classes in Electronics. Student Life organization offers many events, notifying me through email and on campus flyers. I do feel they care about their students and offer the services needed, whether it be transfer services, counselor appointments, scholarships, etc.
I am a low income student as are most students who attend here. The financial aid office has kept some of my aid from me for two semesters due to errors on their behalf. At the moment I only feel like my chemistry teacher actually teaches. The campus is clean and safe, but there really is not much to do here. Students are not even allowed to use the gym unless they take a weight lifting class.
San Bernardino Valley College is a great school.Very friendly, helpful, and overall a great way to meet others within the city.
This school is not as great as many say. The worse part about it are the counselors including the ones in the career center/ transferring or whatever. They're all very stuck up and rush you with their time. Never have they actually cared about guiding me. I could probably go back to my high school counselors for better counseling.
San Bernardino Valley College is a place where students can go to learn and get support from teachers and other students. People like the campus resources and the help they can get with their classes and careers. Some students think there could be more fun things to do or better buildings, but overall, the college tries to make sure students have a good experience and learn what they need to succeed.
SBVC offers many programs to the students that help them academically, physically and mentally; they emphasis wellbeing to their student holistically. Hey are generous with recourses thay aid thier students in basic needs, such as food insecurity and health/mental care. As well as providing available services and programs that will help financially with the tuition, books, school supplies and much more. The community on campus is welcoming with staff that are willing to answer your questions or satisfy your concerns pertaining to your academic journey. I feel safe and have a sense of belonging on campus that encourages me to pursue my ambitions in life as a student, as well as personally.
San Bernardino Valley College was a step ping stone for me and my college career. During my years at San Bernardino Valley college I learned how to navigate the college system, being a single mother at the time I quickly learn about all resources that were available to students like myself. I will always remember my years there and food vouchers and the EOPS/CARE program they helped me a lot.
SBVC is a very helpful and encouraging school. I like all the motivation and help they give to each and every one of their students.
San Bernardino Valley College is a very clean, quiet campus. Landscape workers are often nice and will usually help with directions to certain buildings. The professors are usually nice and fair. Each professor has their own teaching style which allows students to experience different ways of material interpretation. I wouldn't change anything about SBVC.
San Bernardino Valley College has been very supportive in my journey to college, especially regarding financial aid and academic counseling. I don't feel alone because others like me are trying to further their education and cannot afford a university yet. I hope someday; community college will be able to offer a B.A. and not just an A.A. or Certificate for those who cannot afford university tuition.
I am a freshman at San Bernardino valley college during this 2023 fall school year. Something that i loved the most even though i have only been here for a short amount of time was the stem-mesa center. I love how engaging the stem-mesa center is. I love the tutoring center and how the counselors are. They are very energetic and enthusiastic. I always feel welcomed and it is very homey.
I really enjoyed going to school here it was in fact an enjoyable experience. Except for when you need help from the school it was difficult to get in touch with them.
Valley College is a great school and a very fun school because they have multiple sports in that school and the one that interests me is cross country so far it is going well and I am enjoying it.
