Henry Hudson Regional School Reviews
Rating 3.67 out of 5 73 reviews
Henry Hudson is a very small school. From 7th to 12th grade there is only 295 students, and there is a student-faculty ratio of 6:1. From this experience, I have gained close relationships with my fellow peers as well as educators. I have been given the gift of a unique and personal education experience, which has taught me many things about not only the education topics themselves, but soft skills as well. Each class' population can be anywhere between 3 students and 30 students, which allows for our educators to help each individual student be the best version of themselves. On the contrary, the small school environment is unable to fully prepare its students for the harsh reality of a larger population in a larger school environment.
My time at Henry Hudson Regional School is something that I will never forget. Henry Hudson has shaped me into the strong independence young women I have become. I love the environment of the entire school. Everybody makes you feel so welcome and loved which is something that is very important in a school district. The teachers and staff are very sweet and caring of their students. At Henry Hudson you get the chance to build connections with your teachers because it’s such a small school. Henry Hudson has helped me academically even with my learning disability. The administration has helped path the way for me to become successful and college ready. I believe that any kid who decides to go to Henry Hudson will enjoy their time there just like I did.
As a former Hudson student, I feel as though this school has left me with a good education, great memories and friendships. Our close knit community of around 300 7th-12th grade students has been referred to as bad, but mostly a good thing. Everyone knows everyone. This allows for people to actually bond and form lasting relationships with their peers. This community also makes it easy for students to connect with their teachers and other staff. The school provides many extracurricular activities and sport options. The only thing the school lacks is its own sports fields and proper auditorium for performances.
