Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Delightful and interesting tour given by knowledgeable guides. Provides a clear view into the fascinating gilded age and the opulence and excess the business titans enjoyed. History comes to life.

Ferncliff Forest is a 200 acre private preserve with 12 miles of trails to be enjoyed on foot or by Mtn Bike. Trails are marked by color. The most popular hike is the yellow trail which takes you to the observation tower for an un matched view of the Hudson River, Kingston Rhinecliff bridge and the Catskill Mtns. There is also a Pavillion and pond. Various camping lean tos are available for an overnight stay. It can be buggy at times and muddy when it rains. Bring bug spray and wear the right shoes. See website: Ferncliffforest.org for a camping permit. We do not receive any tax money and are funded solely by donations and maintained by voluteers.

I was at Omega for a week long retreat last week. Omega staff created a wonderful space for retreat and respite. The setting is serene. The property features spacious gardens, lush foliage, many areas to sit and reflect and nature to wolk and explore. The Ram Dass Library is very nice. You cannot borrow books but enjoy in the AC comfort. The main hall is spacious for events. The dining hall features enough indoor, porch and lawn seating. Lines are never too long. The food is healthy, featuring plant protein, One day they served an unappetizing shredded chicken dish. Glute free options were available but basic and not too inspiring. They have a lovely assortment of teas. There is a lot of veggies and a strong hand with garlic and spices and onions.

The 4 stars was due to the cabins. They are very comfortable and clean and pretty modern but, due to wooden frames and the door latches, movement from dorm and cabin mates can impact your sleep hygiene. I shared a cabin with a short person who weighed about 150# and I swear an elephant was in their room. I tip toed in mine and still made noise. We sorted out the door latch to be courteous.

The arrival system is flawless. There is plenty of parking as well.

The cafe has a nice assortment of beverages but limited food. I did not see the desserts ever that were advertised on the video. Their locally made kombucha is divine.

The bookstore is chock full spiritual treasures. Their prices are very good as well. They also have a personal care area where I scored my beloved Skin Trip lotion,

Basically it's a loop that would take you probably 30-45 minutes. You go up a hill to see a wonderful view and loop back down to the parking lot. Pretty straightforward. Absolutely worth a stop if you are in the area. The hill isn't even that hard to walk up even though it is steep.

A very sweet and comfortable farm experience! No charge to see the animals, and we were lucky enough to visit while ducks, chickens, and newborn goats were wondering free - all to the delight of my toddler. This place has a lot more animal interactions than other farms in the area, and a wide range of animals for petting and observing. A fun little playground area and lovely farm stand too. Will stop by again.

On our last day of our recent visit to the Hudson Valley, my husband and I visited Brittany Hollow Farm. We had the most amazing time. The gardens were beautiful and there was so many different varieties of flowers to pick. We were so impressed with the entire experience. Using the honesty system we put 20 dollars into a box to pay for a bucket to hold the flowers and using a pair of shears off we went to fill up our bucket. I am a fan of sunflowers and I took such joy in picking them. We also picked so many other beautiful flowers. We loved watching the butterflies amid the flowers We were in the gardens for approximately an hour. After we finished picking the flowers, there was water to fill up our bucket, for the ride home. It was about 5 hours until we arrived home and our flowers were still so fresh.AT home, I was able to fill 5 different vases with the beautiful flowers we picked. Each time I looked at the flowers it reminded me of the wonderful time we had. I would strongly recommend the farm to all.

God's Acre is NOT at the intersection of Mill St. & Mill Rd. (Rt. 9), as pictured. It is behind the Dutch Reformed Church, at the intersection of (Mill Rd.)Rt. 9 & South St. It contains not only Revolutionary War Veterans, but many prominent people from Rhinebeck's past.

The photo shown is of the Veteran's section at the Rhinebeck Town Cemetery, which IS at the corner of Mill Rd. & Mill St. (Rt. 9), but was not even in existence during the Revolutionary War!

Both are a nice place to visit, especially if you are a history buff or are into Genealogy.
