The Tea Party – The Edges Of Twilight

This cut is such a blessing! A huge improvement over the original CD. So glad I got in on this! It's so much more dynamic, with much better bass.

The only way to hear this album. The band really hit it out of the park with this release, I finally got back into it while spinning these records. This cut crushes any other version.

I came across this one at a local record fair, couldn't resist for 20 euro's. Sound is indeed very low but not really a problem as long as it's a clean copy. There's constant background noise between the songs, comparable to the noise on most picture discs. However, it's not audible during the songs. But I found that not the very low volume is an annoyance but the fluctuation in volume level. The first few songs are really quiet but then suddenly a song starts really loud. Hahaha. There's a constance run to the volume knob.
The vinyl is very thin, the ois are nice glossy and it's all housed in a single slipcase. Oh and my Kenwood D-7010 didn't automatically stop at the end of side 2. That's a first!

One of my very favourite albums from my teen years, and this pressing is an absolute pleasure to listen to. It fills the entire room with its power.

Great sounding pressing with a very quiet background. This is the one to get. Now they need to remaster and repress the rest of the catalog.

the labels and gatefold say 2015 not 2018 anywhere. It sounds perfect to me, i was worried after hearing all the negative feedback about the 2015 pressing. It sounds amazing to me just as good as the cd version from the 90's but on vinyl. Honestly if you're a fan of eot i would say get it!!

Good sound quality, very good picture print...Only a little bit of surface noise...

Is there any way of distinguishing this version from the 2015 one? Without playing it? I would like to order it, but I'm afraid I'll get the other one instead...

I would be interested to know too, the deadwax info is completely different so perhaps poor feedback on the 2015 version has led to another mastering.

There are definitely multiple pressings (possibly at different plants?) of this. My copy is perfectly silent and the production is pretty good given the original material - there is actually a soundstage and dynamics. Records are definitely not 180g but they are flat and centered.

However, the graphics definitely look pixelated much like a bootleg copy...
