We hadn’t dined at Wildfire for a long time. Saturday we celebrated our 50th anniversary. We had a reservation for 6:15. When we arrived the hostess greeted us and shared that our son had ordered a bottle of wine. We were greeted by David, our server, and seated at a table near the window. Everything was perfect. Our server, his recommendations, the service, the food - absolute perfection! Their wine list includes many Texas wines that we particularly enjoy. We won’t wait so long to go back.

Eat in the bar if you can. The dining room is extremely noisy, and the tables are close together. The food is very good. Service is excellent.

This place was amazing! Top to bottom this place was wonderful. Would highly recommend the Rueben sandwich. It is made with pastrami and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The onion rings were awesome as well. We ate in the bar snd the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I’ll definitely go back!!!

Wildfire is located on one of the prettiest town squares in Texas. So expectations, based on location & reviews are high. One reviewer said he expected “fine dining” something more “posh.” They are right—no Belgian linens or crystal vases filled with flowers. The ambiance doesn’t match the menu or food. The fine dining in our experience, was in the variety & quality of the food & the exceptional service. We were a party of 9, aged 13 to 77, & each of us asked questions about food options, received helpful answers & had a wonderful dinner. It is expensive if you have rounds of drinks & graze through from appetizers to dessert. But we thought it was worth it & are returning next week.

I really enjoyed the restaurant. The bar area seemed to be the place to be. The main restaurant was not as busy. They also sat everyone on one side so not really a place to have a private conversation or even the illusion of a private conversation.

Had a good meal here, was expecting it to be a bit more upmarket but was relaxed and offered a good selection on the menu. Had tenderloin Elk which was lovely. Our waiter was good fun and looked after us. Certainly worth a visit but don't expect it to be cheap.

May have been misunderstanding on our part, but we expected fine dining. It is not. Very noisy. Food was good quality, but the strong smoke flavor overpowered the taste of the meat. Service was generally attentive. Waiter missed one item on the order, but they comped it on the bill. Wine list was good but overpriced. All in all, not a place we will frequent.

We went there with out of town friends for lunch. I hoped it would be great but it wasn't. My cheeseburger, although it was supposed to be cooked over a wood fired grill, was tasteless and looked like it had been cooked in an oven as it was not fried or charred on the outside. It was cooked medium rare instead of medium. The bun was room temperature and had not been grilled or buttered which made it very dry. The waitress forgot the ketchup for me and it took her about 10 minutes to bring it so I put the pickles on the hamburger in the meantime and tried to eat. Ugh, they were super sweet. Our guest ordered unsweetened ice tea and had to send it back because he said it tasted awful. No one complimented their food but no one wanted to complain. The onion rings were described as being breaded in multi colored tortilla chips. Interesting idea but they turned out to be previously breaded in the normal coating, then breaded again in tortilla chips. Way too much. If this meal were a beer, it would have been served in a paper cup and warm.

Visited here for a mid afternoon lunch and the restaurant was packed, though we were able to find a table in the bar for our group of seven. We just beat a rush as there was a group of nine not ten minutes behind us! The poor bartender was overwhelmed but totally kept his cool and took our drink orders right away while he gave us menus. He continued to handle the bar area, solo, until some much needed help arrived. The staff was super attentive the entire time we were there - refilling our drinks, giving us updates on our lunch order and just checking up on us. Kudos to this group of hardworking people! The food was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by all! So many items to choose from - burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, enchiladas, and more! The dessert menu looked amazing but we couldn't fit in another bite once we were finished! It was a busy day in Georgetown as they were getting ready for a tree lighting ceremony later that day so the area was pretty well crowded by the time we were done. Highly recommend Wildfire!

Great day to eat outdoors and they had a great set up on the sidewalk facing the town square. My daughter's pasta and my sandwich both excellent.

Every time I go to this restaurant, I come out smelling like the kitchen. Why don’t they have better exhaust fans in the kitchen is beyond me. The food is usually good though. I try to get a seat in the bar instead. Fix the smelly situation people!!

Excellent food and service. The desserts were phenomenal! Very enjoyable experience. Relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend. Catch a show next door at the Palace theater if possible.

Had a graduation celebration dinner at Wildfire. I ordered a rye old fashion. I received a bourbon old fashion. I ordered lamb chops. They came as a rack. The were very difficult to separate. Also, not a lot of flavor.

Haven’t reviewed in awhile but was visiting my son and his wife to celebrate their first born and my second grand-baby. Headed out to bask in my blessings and this sad state of events warranted a play by play. Starter: Asked for extra dirty martini with sweet vermouth easy on the vermouth.... received a very vermouth forward martini... politely asked bartender to make it extra dirty... do-over was very good.... however not a new drink.... just added more olive juice (amateur ). Second drink when asking for dealers choice was awesome. And good selection on wine and hearty poor. Appetizer: asked for pork belly...Out of pork belly, asked for bartenders choice between calamari and polenta ... he suggested calamari...out of calamari.... servers were not aware... had to keep coming back and letting me down. When I mentioned I was pleased with the polenta and glad I was able to receive at least one of my choices, I was told .. “yeah... it’s better than nothing”. .... uh ok Polenta was my last choice but it was absolutely amazing!!! Main course: 5oz Filet tasted like it was cut from the sirloin, not meat butter like it’s supposed to be (and no I don’t do well done or even medium on my steaks... medium rare for me). If you have to wrap it in bacon you’re trying to cover something up. Had better steak at saltgrass (which of course is not saying much). Added Scallops to steak...over cooked ... fishy...terrible (most likely stingray and not real scallops but still prepared incorrectly).. better everywhere else I’ve ever had them... even Chinese buffet Surface friendly bartenders .... no interest in connecting with people (bar... it’s imperative... especially when someone is sitting alone) Plate with one bite out (did blatantly clarify... This is a filet? Was told It was ) and clearly eating my left over appetizer (in a to-go box) .... no one comes to ask if everything is to my satisfaction... wow... just wow .... come to clear plates away.. bartender “you need me to box this up? Me: oh no! ... bartender: ok...me: push empty to-go box and said “you can go ahead and take this, I ate it as my meal”.... bartender: ok... cool.... never once asked me how everything was, or if steak was cooked well, if it tasted ok... absolutely nothing...(until another bartender came over and asked how my steak was).... I said terrible and she “ooh I’m sorry... what was bad about it.. I said tasted like a sirloin cut in the shape of a filet wrapped in bacon... she said ... I CAN take that off your Bill for you... I said “no that’s ok) Hey servers... it should be “I WILL take that off the Bill for you”... geeeeez seriously just do it... don’t wait for permission... that’s a Jack in the box move... (uuuum like I’m gonna need to speak to my managerrrr) my mind is literally blown right now. Fancy menu writing and “craft” cocktails does not a restaurant make but props absolutely go to the look of the place, wine selection and that one drink the bartender made for me that wasn’t on the menu. It’s inviting and comfortable... just set your expectations low on the food and service and you’ll be pleased. Oh and never a water refill (until prompted).... face-freaking-plant. And if you’re wondering... no it was not busy .... Max 6 sets and 3 bartenders (4 and 2 when I walked in) .., majority at tables not the bar ... small bar area at that. This was just sad sad sad. If this is the best you got Georgetown (based on reviews).... won’t be coming back for the food or service. Let’s be honest.... probably just won’t be back. Lots better towns with much better people and way better food out there. Tommy (another patron) saved the day. Actually knew how to be social and polite. Lastly: ordered to-go food for my son and daughter-in-law... spicy chicken sandwich, fries and onions rings were good(fantastic buns) .. queso tasted like velveeta.... some people might really like that.
