Also confirmed by O’Connor is a third movie in the trilogy, meaning The Accountant 2 won’t be the end of Christian Wolff’s story. “I've always wanted to do three...So there'll be more screen time for Bernthal in the second one.” O’Connor explained on the 2021 Reel Blend podcast, “The third movie is going to be the two brothers, this odd couple. The third one is going be a buddy picture.”

What’s yet to be revealed is who the antagonist of The Accountant 2 will be, nor how the events of the ending of The Accountant will factor into the plot of the sequel.
