We've had nothing but problems with McAfee because of the compression algorithm electron clients use or the servers we use to host.
The 2 main problems:
McAfee thinks an EXE is using unfamiliar/'risky' connections that would normally be approved by signed software or a browser.
The compression used by electron isn't known by McAfee so they consider it "risky" (they can't see what's inside)
If you downloaded the client through our website link or on Steam, then it's 100% safe
so like can you see my incognito history and stuff 😳

Like highnoon said (highnoon is one of the devs) if you downloaded it from steam or the official site it should not have any viruses or any sort
