H Hotel Los Angeles, Curio Collection by Hilton receives widespread acclaim for its clean, modern rooms with impressive views and inviting atmosphere. The furnishings and bathrooms are typically spotless, contributing to the overall quality ambiance. However, some guests have voiced concerns about hidden fees diminishing the hotel's value proposition. While the majority of reviewers appreciate the amenities, including on-site dining options, experiences with the service quality have been inconsistent, ranging from highly professional to disappointingly slow. Additionally, room conditions vary, with occasional reports of dated amenities and malfunctioning air conditioning.

We were a party of 6 with 3 rooms during the week between Christmas and New Year's....in town to see a show at the Forum. I chose this hotel because I am a Hilton Honors member and it kept coming up while booking. It is fairly new. I arrived from LAX on the day after Christmas at 9pm tired and hungry. The lobby restaurant was open and it was easy to get soup and salad which exceeded all my expectation. Delicious food! All staff members I came in contact with during our 3-night stay were awesome and amazing.

The rooms are extremely modern and luxurious. Everything is new, the bathrooms are spacious and beautiful. We did not hear one single airplane or road noise during our visit, very quiet. Bed are comfortable and lots of charging ports for your phone.

I would stay at this hotel anytime I was coming to LA. It is easy to get to the Forum, you do not need to use the freeway. It is easy to get to great food and dining in El Segundo and Manhattan Beach. We even took a trip to Wi Spa in Koreatown and it only took 15 min.

Beautiful hotel. Highly recommend. Parking is $40 a night, however, we used Uber.

I stayed here for 3 nights while attending to events/activities around LAX.

The hotel is in a very convenient location close to LAX with a free shuttle running continuously 24 hours a day. There are great views of the runways at LAX from most rooms and especially from the rooftop patio. A definite plus for aviation enthusiasts such as me. My room was nice and typical of a 4 star chain hotel.

The main shortcomings were in the service. Check-in was slow and a bit disorganized. I ordered room service breakfast which was delivered in a paper bag with plastic utensils. I expected more given the usual room service fees were charged. I asked for housekeeping one morning and was told I had to ask 24 hours prior. This must have been my mistake, but a hotel that claims to be 4 stars should be able to provide housekeeping on demand if not daily. When I checked out, I was not given my daily Gold Member food/beverage credit. I called and this was fixed but it was a call I shouldn’t have had to make.

Overall, this hotel is fine and I would stay here again. I just expected more.

My co-worker likes newer locations and most of the airport hotels are dated so I've stayed here 4 times since Feb.

The location is walking distance to the airport and the H Brand offers updated space. The sales department was responsive when I inquired about booking a meeting room.

The customer service at this location was poor before the shut down. Room upgrades are no longer offered so I paid for the suite with a view of the airport last week and still got the view of Carls Jr.

The roof view is great but its dirty, closes early, and has no shade during the day.

Parking is $50. In Feb they offered Diamond Members hot breakfast. Now the hotel charged $10 for a grab n go breakfast which is a generic bottle of warm water, cold dry untoasted bagel, and a child's apple. Still had to buy coffee at coffee bean.

The bartender was friendly. I reserved my tips for him.

Check out was a disaster! I needed food folio charges split off the bill. The desk clerk clearly did not know the process. Her manager Annie refused to come out the office. Between her walking back and forth and getting help from a coworker it took about an hour for me to get on the road.

I am empathetic to essential workers and how difficult it must be to work in hotels post pandemic. That said I am also an essential worker who has had to continue travel in these dangerous times.

The Hilton experience for Diamond Members is now miserable! At a time where occupancy seems low.

I stayed at the Marriott last month and the staff seemed appreciative of the travelers.

It was the most horrible experience at a Hilton hotel. I am a Hilton Honors Gold and property owner who really believes in the Hilton brand but this location makes me think it's more of a Motel 8 or cheap beachside lodging business. The rep who checked me in rushed through the process without acknowledging or welcoming me, didn't talk much, just gave me the room keys and I had to ask how to get parking, how to get to the garage, what breakfast was like (which she did not know), where the gym/pool and elevator was, etc. She gave wrong instructions and answers for questions that she felt she knew the answers. There was not a single customer waiting after me so my only reasoning for her rushing through things was that she's not trained nor experienced in customer service.
We couldn't get into the garage because she didn't give us correct instructions. Pool was not on the 12th floor and gym was not on the 6th floor as she stated.
The next day, we didn't get room service so I called down for towels and coffee; waited 2 hours; called back; waited some more; went down to front desk and was promised it would come. It came eventually, two separate times. Then I got my surprise. The towel was soiled and stained with black stains that looked so awful I felt like throwing up!
I went down the next morning for breakfast, no one knew what Hilton Honors Gold members get so they gave me a box containing a rock hard cold bagel with no access a toaster anywhere to use, hard boiled eggs hand wrapped in plastic that was coming apart, and a piece of fruit that cannot be replaced when I asked for another choice.
Then I went to the front desk to talk to the Manager on Duty. When I asked the ladies at the desk, they gave me a Trip Advisor card "How was your stay". I once again asked for the manager on duty name and contact info if he/she was not available. They continued to push the Trip Advisor card at me. I glanced over to the business card hold display and took 2 that may be helpful to me: Steve Hellmers, Regional Director of Sales and Rodolfo Salazar, Compex Director of Operations.
This is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had and highly dissuade anyone from staying here!

This was a really great property ay LAX that I used frequently when I was working near LAX or overnighting prior to an early flight prior to cutting out a lot of travel due to Covid. This recent stay was very surprising.
It started with a number of homeless people out in front of the hotel and nest to the front door- never had seen that before. Digital Key did not work and there was no clean stay sticker on my door. Had to go down to desk to get a physical key and it was clear that the associate was overwhelmed with guests calling the desk. Got my key, asked a out the sticker and was told "don't worry about it, we are probably just out".
Went into room and pulled out luggage rack which was covered in some sort of lotion or soap, went into bathroom to wash hands and discovered no bath towels. Decided to call desk, no answer. It was late and needed to get some sleep so decided to plug in my phone and watch, but USB outlets were dead ( weird since this is a pretty new hotel) and iron my clothes for the morning. Went to pull out Ironing board and it fell apart. Managed to reconstruct it by putting the screws back in and when I pulled it up it was covered in what looked like dried blood. Had to repack at that point and go down to ask for a different room, which I was given on the corner which has a great view. But, I probably wanted an hour or so dealing with nonsense just to get to a usable room. I know this is a terrible time for Hotels with staffing and people using the Hotels rooms like they are little party centers, so I empathize with the challenges. but please, don't allow conditions to deteriorate to where guests cant trust that they will have a clean or safe stay. Thanks.

I just stayed here for a night during a stop over at LAX on my way to Mexico. I was in a 1 bedroom suite. The hotel is nice on arrival and very close to LAX. I chose to just walk to/from the airport (its that close). The front desk staff is friendly, the building actually houses two hotels which have separate check in desks, but the same staff I believe bounces between the two.

Check in was fast and painless, just beware, the hotel holds an incidental charge thats even more then what the Ritz Carlton holds, $300 for one night of incidentals (the room was prepaid), but no big deal.... shut surprising.

Upon getting off the elevator, there were a group of 4-5 housekeeping staff gathered in the hallway talking loudly, laughing and joking.... great to see them having fun at work, but totally ignored that I was there and trying to get around them and their carts and get to my room. They all looked at me, but didnt budge even when I said excuse me, so I walked around the other direction.

The room was large and well furnished and very nice looking. It was large with a dining area, and mini bar area. Appeared to have a place for a fridge and/or microwave but there was nothing there. I found it strange that a room with a dining table, and mini area with sink etc would not have those items, but I was just here for one night anyways. The table was sticky and dirty and not cleaned and so was the coffee table and remote, so I spent 20 minutes using my Clorox wipes to clean everything, but other then that the room was great.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. Also the televisions are netflix/hulu capable which is great.

The staff in the hallway were very loud. I was trying to work at the table and desk areas, and the cleaners were yelling, laughing and joking so loud that I ended up having to go into the bedroom and close the door and work on the bed.

I would for sure give this hotel another chance in the future as I overall enjoyed my stay and the comfort of the room.

As a Hilton honours member I expected to be made welcome as a bare minimum. However, every part of this stay I felt as though I was intruding in someone’s home.

I arrived at 11am and was advised my room was ready, cleaned and empty. However I could not get the keys until 4pm unless I paid $50 for early check in. I can understand charging this if it was 6am or if my allocated room wasn’t ready or if I wasn’t a member of the hotels loyalty program. But here I am, a member of their loyalty program, my allocated room is clean and empty and available yet i can’t have the key!!

When finally gaining access to the room hours later the room was a disappointment. It is sold as runway view. This room does not give a runway view!!! And even if it did, the windows were so filthy and dirty on the outside that any view or photos would be distorted.

The laundry room is useful however all clothes driers were in use by housekeeping to clean the towels and wash cloths for the the hotel!!

My holding deposit has still not been refunded despite checking out over a week ago. So they have charged for my room and still holding a $400 deposit.

As an aside, I have checked into a Radisson a week later as a nonmember and been given early access to my room and the room is fantastic.

Time to change to hotel loyalty I think. It’s a shame, as the prices Hilton charge I expected a much better level of service. I will pay less and stay at Radisson or Marriott on the future.

We stayed on our way home from Hawaii to the UK just as the lockdown was beginning.

The rooms are very nice and very well equipped, and pretty much sound proofed. Since the bar and restaurant were closed due to Covid I could not comment on these facilities.

The terrace was still open and this was a wonderful place to enjoy coffee from you from.

One reason I have not given them 5* is our shuttle bus experience - both from when we arrived at a LAX and when we departed next day. The female driver was EXTREMELY rude on both journeys. When we boarded on our way back she asked where we were headed - I said ‘international terminal’ she literally shouted back in dunno which international terminal. I replied ‘British Airways’ she said she’d never heard of them. Very surprising for any airport bus driver. I eventually just said TBIT and she begrudgingly dropped us off.

Secondly, I had to cancel and rebook several times due to changing flights. Despite Hilton offering to refund ALL bookings due to Covid, they have charged me for a room cancelled under these terms.

The stops at the airport are confusing and the hotel website states to head towards the green and brown sign which doesn’t currently exist or in use. Head to the red bus stops and It might be wise to find out what the bus looks like (it’s green) and hail down like you would a taxi.
