Eons away from the excellence of their debut.
Only 'Time Does Not Heal' and to a lesser extent 'Northern Soul' remind the early fan of the snappy pop numbers featured on 1980's 'Where Are All the Nice Girls' and a nagging question haunts the listener: where are all the nice guitars?
Indeed, the sound is synth-driven from start to finish and the overall feel and look best summarized by the following liner notes:
'SYNTHESISERS programmed by Steve' (Gurl, keyboardist and new member largely responsible for the synthetic drift of this 1983 album).
'HAIR by Maxine' (with the same Steve Gurl and other new member Andy Ebsworth vying for worst 1980s haircut).

Terrible singer-songwriter pop. Any Trouble with synths. Great. I feel bad for reviewing this album because now I am wondering if I ever made it all the way through it
