Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Nicky E23 contributionsBrilliant day out.
Extremely well managed from the outset.
All enclosures well designed, great viewing and most of all the animals are clearly happy and come first in all cases.
Food outlets distributed throughout and affordable choices. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. ( changed gloves for preparation between customers)
Talks are entertaining, informative and accessible to all. The sea lion experience was a favourite with the family.
Well done all at Blackpool Zoo.Written 31 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had a job to work out what was in them . In fact I have to say most of it was tasteless. I do think it needs to improve. We would have liked to take her to the top of the tower as it’s many years since she has been but it’s not so simple as that is a separate attraction and we were told we would have had to go outside the building and then enter again via the booking office.. Plus it would have been £18 each as now it’s not just a simple ride to the top! What a pity. I suppose none of us will go back to do just that .Written 1 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- blavvvaLondon214 contributionsGreat way to get around. Got the app and the three days travel pass. Most journeys you can get a sit and never had to queue. Tram every 15 minutes. Early in the morning till late in the evening.Written 2 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joanne BHalesowen, UK30 contributionsWe booked afternoon tea which was scrumptious! There were sandwiches, scones and cakes and as much tea and coffee as you wanted. The table was ours for 90 minutes.
There was music from the organ and there were lots of people from all backgrounds and abilities dancing. It was lovely to watch.
There was a fully licensed bar where you could get alcoholic drinks and there was no limit to the time you could spend in the ballroom at one of the many other tables available to sit at.
It was good to climb the stairs to the other levels to look down at the dance floor.
It was a magical experience - highly recommend.Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Then there are the rest. Most of them are so rickety and spine breaking they will keep chiropractors in business for years. One ride that makes you feel as though you've just volilunteered to be Mike Tysons sparing partner with your hand tied behind your back and no protective gear and he has just done a few lines of coke. This ride is infusion. It has not aged well. I came off the ride with cauliflower ears.
Then there are the nostalgic rides. The big Dipper, Grand National etc.. These are so bad it felt like I had just been run over by Blackpools trams.
The Big One was once one of my most favourite rides but again this is like hurtling off a bridge straight into on coming traffic.
There are still really good aspects to this amusement park. The staff for the most part are super helpful and very good.
The price of food and drink when inside isn't too bad. You can still have lots of fun but I feel like it's time for some big big changes. And some rides like turds cannot be polished.Written 2 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vicki, James, Jessie & BillyLincoln, UK4 contributionsSo after visiting Gruffalo last month (which is next door)
We decided next time we were up this way we would visit sea life.
We came on a day where there seemed to be some schools walking round but it didn’t hinder our visit.
We also weren’t aware that JJ from Coco Melon was here this week - that really made our daughter excited when she saw him walking round the centre.
We got to the first part and met Kyle, he was lovely and told my daughter she could touch things, which after some encouragement from dad she did.
Kyle was telling her about facts of starfish and what a purse is, we loved that.
We walked round the rest of the attraction, the tunnel is amazing!
The green eel is huge and looks prehistoric!!
The part with the UV lights had our 2yr old happy - he didn’t want to move!
I don’t like bugs so I pretty much ran through there but my partner says it was brilliant.
I love that there is info boards next to everything so even if staff aren’t around then you can have your questions answered.
We got to the big window and met Colette who did a talk. She had cleared catered this talk to the school that was in (who looked about 5/6 yrs old)
She got them and my daughter involved, and the facts like the rays nose, the beautiful turtles age and the shark brain have stuck with our daughter (who’s 4) because she interacted and kids seems to remember thing when they are involved.
This lady must have children because she knows how to speak to them like a motherly figure, she gave out stickers and even answered really silly questions with a smile!
The cafe seems the same as gruffalo but without cake (insert sad face)
JJ and his friend were amazing! JJ came and interacted with us and our daughter. She was happy to speak to him but didn’t want to get too close. He is pretty big!!
We loved our visit.
Thank you sea life, your staff are amazing l, your animals are amazing and we will definitely be back!!Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The changing rooms were very clean and we really like the wristband locker system, it's easy to use and more comfortable to wear the bands than a key. Although we went during half term there were plenty of stalls and lockers available for us to use, and staff members on hand to help if needed.
The water park itself was quite busy, despite the 3 hour time limit given, however we found that we could still enjoy ourselves as we weren't going on any of the big slides due to having a small child.
We were impressed with how many lifeguards there were, and also the water ambassadors in the pool to keep everyone safe.
Overall we had a great time, it was busy but so is everything else in Blackpool during half term. We recently visited another water park in the UK (at a well known theme park) and we would say the facilities at the sandcastle are equal if not slightly better.
Thanks team!Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Blackpool bunnyBlackpool, UK11 contributionsBeautiful park well kept
Love going as I live locally can go regularly
Only couple of points
Think all dogs should be kept on leed in park area
And the cafe being very nice is quite expensive

We went to see The Unfortunate show and we had amazing time. The venue itself is beautiful, clean with comfortable seats,we were in row F ,which was great, watching the show with no issues.
The staff working there was so nice and professional,it was a real pleasure for us to see that,we in the North, also have the theatre like
Blackpool Grand theatre!
We definitely will be back!
Now,the show,The Unfortunate. We had so much fun, it was brilliant performance, the singing was outstanding and all actors kept us entertained for the whole performance.
