Trails fairly well marked. Surprisingly dry considering the recent rain. Campers could stand to learn a little trail etiquette but they weren't awful. You don't completely get away from road sounds but its all shaded which is nice.

The Lenape Indians do a phenominal job showing the kids how things were made, cooked, done, planned, all the while keeping a drum timekeeper on board. While I hiked with the other transporter, I found it to be difficult with construction to get there and then, not really exciting.

This was a one-of-a-kind experience.
I must laud the effort and commitment of the staff/volunteers working at the nature center. Everyone here is so full of passion for Entomology and most importantly, sharing it with visitors in the most lucid way possible.
Shakira greeted us with a smile and welcomed in through the gates of Arthropalooza.
Marissa gave us an informed tour around the Butterfly House. Ian went an extra mile in explaining metamorphosis of a butterfly's lifespan. Kyla gave us a wonderful account of a honey-bee's nesting habits, showed us the hives and also allowed me to sample some honey.
There are so many activities for kids including insect-themed games & artworks; some of which even grown-ups can partake and some of them have prizes to win too! Madagascar Hissing Cockroach Race - hosted by a summersaulting teenager who was excited about doing the show with a spring in his step (literally!). Arthropalooza Scavenger Hunt - conducted by a young lady who gave me all the directions about the trail and handed me my prize in spite of me cheating in my quest of identifying bugs :) ...too bad I can't remember everyone's name!
Not to mention - the old man who had an exhibit with a microscope to observe pond life, and the gentleman who had a stall to display all crustaceans.
The proud trait across all the volunteers that really impressed me that they neither expect nor accept gratuity or tips - way to go!!!

While I was visiting the area I wanted to find a spot to go birding. The Churchville Nature Center was incredible. I was expecting the diversity to be fairly low however, we were able to find over 30 species in a short period of time. Upon arriving and parking, I got out of the car in time to notice two large birds soaring past in the distance. Two Bald Eagles! It just got better from there.
It was a cool morning and once we arrived back at the nature center, we were offered hot chocolate by the staff. The people there were extremely friendly and helpful.
I will return as soon as I can. Nothing but positive reflections on my day at Churchville Nature Center.

Churchville Nature Center is a very enjoyable nature experience with a lovely welcome center that has informative and educational displays. The nature paths are well maintained with wooden or paved walkways. Many benches invite the visitor to relax and enjoy what you are seeing. A large lake is accessible by trail and also a pretty pond with lots of wildlife.

Quick walk to the lake. Muddy but it just snowed and melted. Looking forward to coming back during the summer months. Maybe I can walk around the lake and find a picnic spot.

This Park seems to be abandoned by visitors though its a beautiful place and a memory of old times where there is nature and beauty of trees, flowers and a beautiful lake.
I would recommend this place if you are dating and need a quite place to sit and see nature together and have a food or snakes while sitting there. This place has parking and restrooms so no worries of anything and plus some stuffed animals and a library to see there. Go with family or friends or even to pray together in group.

Churchville Nature Center is a beautiful, preserved area with walking trails, wildlife gardens, a lake and nature building. There are boardwalk overlooks and decks along the trails to witness nature at its finest.
This is an ideal spot for a small wedding ceremony. The Nature Center has created a lovely area with beautiful plantings, a wedding arch, seating, walkways and a pond for such ceremonies.
Parking is free along Churchville Road. Admittance to the Nature Center is free to the public. Reservation of the wedding garden is $50. The building can also be rented.

the churchville nature center has just gone thru some major renovations, a great place to take kids to learn about nature and to have a hands on experience. great for wildlife and flora photography

A beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature. Lot's of programs for all ages. They even have a place for outdoor weddings.
