Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place was a zoo. It was a holiday weekend and even the police I spoke to said just turn around and don’t bother. We have been here in the past on Sunday and there is a wonderful open air market there with great vendors with lots of treats. The police man said they no longer have the farmers market there. So this trip was a total wash. Back to the other beaches on the island.

Nice beach to walk on, although not soft sand. Lots of sharp shells so wear beach shoes. Bring a beach umbrella. Visited in February and weather great.

Our favorite beach by far. It was never crowded and the sand is incredible. Bring a beach umbrella though because it does get hot and there's not any other shade. The body surfing is the best here with enough waves to keep if fun.

After visiting all of the Keys and beaches we found this gem. Every beach that we went to was overly crowded. On our last day in Florida I told my hubby that I had one more beach to check off on my list. AND BOY WAS IT WONDERFUL! this is the BEST beach if you are seeking peace from the crowds. The powder, white sands are gorgeous. I wish we had have discovered Coquina Beach sooner. The next time we come to Florida this will for sure be MY SPOT/RESTING PLACE. This area is not loaded with lots of businesses and tourists like most areas in Fla; it's more of a residential area.

Beautiful beach with nearby free parking. The beach is quite wide, but the sand is soft. Vendors were there when we arrived, but they left early in the afternoon.

Beautiful white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico where the water is aqua blue. Really pretty. A lot of people during the season! The island is very built up but it's nice.

The beach is fantastic. Beautiful white sugar sand. We were there on a Sunday and there is a wonderful open air market there with great vendors with lots of treats for your tummy, your puppy or your artful eye.
Even our teenage daughter enjoyed it.

Great location. Coquina Beach offers plenty of parking, shade, picnic areas, beach chair & umbrella rental and a great selection of food and drinks. Also handy when visiting the “beach market”. My guests love the convenience while spending the day at the beach.

Sugar sand abounds...nice little spot to do some fishing as well...caught a couple of sea bass and puffer fish here...it is a well maintained area and a delight to just whither away an afternoon..enjoy.

Coquina beach is big with plenty of public parking. The beach is nice for its view. More for teens, college kids and folks that like to litter , there are better beach locations further up Anna Maria.
