Sophomore: The University of the Incarnate Word is a unique school which thus far has provided and rewarding academic experience even though Campus life seems a little lacking when compared to bigger schools. I do love and take advantage of the smaller class sizes which more readily allow me more one on one time with my professors which I need more often than not. The culture in general is enjoyable the smaller student ratio has allowed me to socialize and stand out more readily. This school offers a great deal of personalized help not only in academics but in personal development as well. I am glad I choose this University; I feel like the professor and staff in general care about my success and often times go out of their way to help, not to mention the Campus itself is beautiful. Senior: The University of Dallas has a vibrant student life paired with a true love of learning that I have not witnessed anywhere else. The professors are incredible: they encourage independent thinking, guide students on their paths toward increased knowledge, and are very accessible to those who need help. The students enjoy engaging in great discussions with each other and support each other in their academic growth and spiritual growth. One of the University of Dallas' weaknesses is campus food and housing. The dorms are outdated, and they need more attention. Freshman: My experience at St. Mary's has been quite positive so far. The academic environment is supportive, with dedicated faculty who are always ready to help students succeed. The food offerings have consistently been satisfying, adding to the overall experience. However, I believe there's room for improvement in terms of incentivizing students financially. Introducing a scholarship program for those with a GPA of 3.8 or higher could be a great way to motivate academic excellence while also easing financial burdens. Junior: Ever since the pandemic, online learning has become one of the fore-fronts of learning. My high school struggled to get students to learn and keep them engaged. But UIW was better on every level! We had good time management and teachers that actually cared.
