- One of my fetish albums. I can play this over and over again. I get regular goosebumps. The Chambers Brothers, what a band!
- there's an Argentinian release from 1966 on Folkways/TROVA FA-2468 on heavy vinyl with dark-blue labels and silver typography; comes with 8,5" x 8,5" lyrics sheet (4 sides); printed on the right lower corner of the B/w cover is an 45° banner "Canciones De Protesta"
- 1st Sept 2017:
Today I bought this 1966 issue. Playing it with my stereo cartridge, I hear throughout both sides that familiar, dreaded surface noise which I usually associate with the stereo cartridge/pre-1967 mono grooves mis-match. The sides of the stereo stylus are picking up dead info from the upper areas of the mono groove. Otoh, records in mono but issued after 1967 play just fine on my TT, no extra scraping/swooshing noise. So, can anyone confirm that #FA 2468 is indeed in mono??? To me it sounds mono, although open, airy.
