Noel Murray The Verge Inside Bill's Brain often feels more superficial than it actually is because it switches topics so freely. Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Daniel D'Addario Variety We're walked through the tech founder and humanitarian's personal history in a manner that grows stultifying the more praise gets ladled on. Sep 18, 2019 Full Review Stephen Farber Hollywood Reporter The series is smoothly edited by Adrienne Gits and Brad Grossman, and animated sequences - which have become something of a staple of documentary films - are deftly integrated. Sep 5, 2019 Full Review Graeme Tuckett Stuff.co.nz This is a tirelessly laudatory film, about a man who probably could yield a far more interesting yarn than this. Aug 10, 2021 Full Review Calum Henderson New Zealand Herald [C]lickbait title disappointment aside, the real Inside Bill's Brain is still pretty good. Sep 30, 2019 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Despite some of the docuseries' eye-rolling overpraise, Inside Bill's Brain is about as close a look at Bill Gates anyone has gotten, so it's a win in our book. Tatiana B Engaging, interesting insight into Bill Gates' life and Microsoft's growth. I do agree the narrator is a setback. Who hired that guy? Judgmental and just a turn off, but I could get past him (please don't give him a mic again). I recommend watching this. I'll def watch it again. Made me think and I genuinely found it inspiring. P.S. This narrator has the audacity of saying, AS HIS CLOSING LINE, that you have to wonder whether Bill can do this and that or whether he's in too deep. Total production failure. Narrator, why would you be OK with being the joker? Kinda embarrassing tbh, Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Audience Member Very bad documentary. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Watching this series along with reading Steve Job's autobiography is an interesting experience. The story of Bill in this documentary demonstrated to us that people as successful as Bill, still struggles to solve problems in the world. And to solve any significant problems in the world, it takes patience and years or even decades of work. A great show to remind us the value of patience. To end with his mother's quote, "Each one of us has to start out with developing our own definition of success. And when we have these specific expectations of ourselves, we are more likely to live up to them. Ultimately it is not what you get or even what you give, it is what you become." Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member It is very one-sided for documentary. It is portraying Gates in a very emotional non objective way, in order for us to like him. He is a philanthropist, an innovative, a workaholic, a genius and of course a human being. The information on his life and his achievements are very interesting but it didn't reach the objectivity I wanted from a documentary. Because if he is of the scale he is portrayed I would except more scientist and big minds to comment on him and his achievements and display a more multifaceted picture. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Good insight in to the life and driving forces behind bill gates personal and professional pursuits. So lovely to learn more about Melinda and her role in their companies and philanthropic/charitable ventures. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing and a must watch! Really gives you a deeper insight into the different ways Bill Gates is still trying to help change the world for better! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
