We may still be in the thick of spring, but Tracee Ellis Ross is giving us some much needed summer inspiration.

The Black-ish star blessed her 11 million Instagram followers over the weekend with a new video of herself lounging in a pool by the beach. Against the magnificent backdrop of the ocean, a bush of bright fuchsia flowers, and a cloud-streaked sky, Ross posed at the edge of the pool in a cheetah-print bikini and a straw sun hat with an extra-wide brim.

The actor posted the video to celebrate the announcement of her new travel series with Roku Originals, Tracee Travels.

“I’m a solo traveling broad and I want y’all to come with me as I explore! And when I say explore I mean wear my pretty clothes, eat yummy food, dive into art & culture, and get into hotel pools ☺️,” Ross wrote in the caption. “Our time together will include me meticulously, laboriously and sometimes ridiculously preparing for these explorations. Basically Imma do my Instagram, but on TV!”

She added, “I hope this show reminds all of us that we can live our lives courageously on our own terms and be our best selves, by ourselves, out in the world. All this will debut exclusively on @therokuchannel in 2025.”

The show is the perfect addition to Ross’s already crowded resumé, especially considering her reputation among fans as a celebrity who approaches life with candid and unfiltered enthusiasm. She reflected on this legacy in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar’s November 2021 cover story.

“I didn’t see enough examples of different versions of how a woman can find happiness and joy and power and sensuality, sexuality, all of that, without it being through the lens of how I’m seen by a man,” she said at the time. “People are like, ‘You’re the poster child for being single.’ And I was like, ‘Great.’ But what I would prefer is that I’m the poster child for living my life on my terms. And that there’s a version of that for everyone.”
