NEW DELHI: Sunrisers openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were on a powerplay record-breaking spree on Saturday as both produced an incredible and a never-seen-before batting mayhem against Delhi Capitals.
Smashing the hapless Delhi bowlers left, right and centre, Head and Abhishek provided a vertical take-off to Sunrisers in a dazzling display of power-hitting.
With both batters going all guns blazing, Sunrisers raised the fastest ever team hundred -- in just 5 overs -- in the history of IPL.
Along with that the duo added 125 runs in powerplay -- the highest-ever score in T20 cricket's history ever.
The batting carnage from the two set social media ablaze as with words of praise and hilarious memes highlighting their epic batting performance.











Head went on to score 32-ball 89 before smashing the joint fastest half-century of the season -- off 16 balls.
Abhishek on the other hand, smoked 46 off just 12 balls.
Together both hit 13 fours and 11 sixes in their massacre of the Delhi bowlers.
