one of the best restaurants in northeast Ohio. very focused menu and unusual items often appear. they are very knowledgeable about wine pairings only open for dinner 4 days a week, but the breakfast and lunch menus are equally good. this should be a part of every foodie's rotation

We really enjoyed having all of our food coursed out properly. The egg yolk ravioli and lavender crème brûlée were absolutely incredible.

The food and the service over the top! Not sure I like the way they present the bill to you… just a card reader, no detailed or itemized bill. 3 people, 2 apps, 2 beers, 3 meals, Past,burger and salmon. no desert or coffee… $195. Pricey but sign of the times I guess, if you want quality expect to pay for it.

Definitely go to dinner at the Blue Door. David Chin, the chef, has obviously worked with the owner at hitting the mark in all ways. The dishes are incredibly well thought out, beautifully assembled, and integrated. The service is wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and welcoming. Regarding the meal, the short rib "small bite" dish comprised one delicious rib, a small polenta cake, and a wonderful apple compote. Scallop lovers in our party appreciated the sear on the scallops, and the "large plate" sea bass was maybe the star of the evening. It was perfectly cooked and browned; placed on surprisingly sweet and tasty French lentils. Yum! And all five of us agreed the peanut sauce under the Asian-style dumplings was fantastic. Finally, desserts: The chocolate souffle was heavenly, and the citron tart was wonderfully lemony. It was beautifully garnished with whipped cream and varied citrus slices. The only small flaw in the entire dinner may have been that the pate sucre on the tart was not browned. But the dessert was still delicious. In addition, drinks are varied and well chosen. Examples are a true German Riesling, a local draft Lock 15 Grandfather lager, refreshing filtered table water, and nice cocktails, teas, and coffees. Service with server Michael was stellar. He was attentive but not intrusive, pleasantly friendly, and knew the menu thoroughly. The detailed information he provided helped us decide what and when to order. Both Michael and staffer Lily also did a great job removing plates and keeping water glasses filled. Ordering: So that too much food didn't appear at once, our group found it best to first order drinks and a few small plates to share. That allowed us to enjoy dishes at leisure, and order at our own pace. Our party continued to share larger plates and even dessert. For us, that was perfect. Don't miss this place. It is firing on all cylinders. A great choice for fine casual dining for any time or occasion.

The service was great and food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Very fresh and wholesome ingredients. Great place if you want a special and delicious meal.

We had two pasta dishes and Smash Burger. Pasta homemade and perfect texture, delicious. I was craving a burger and it didn't disappoint. Love that they have local breweries on tap. Cocktails great love the large cubes. And chocolate soufflé for dessert, absolutely phenomenal. Great Mothers day dinner.

What a great place. We were seated immediately at the time of our reservation. The food and service was just stellar. Possibly the best smash burger I've ever had. I would highly recommend this spot

Wow! What a great find. We sat at the bar and enjoyed our conversation with bartender Michael (who mixes awesome cocktails) as well as owners Michael and Jen. The charcuterie board was recommended so we ordered and were not disappointed. Three meats, 3 cheeses with various accompaniments. Micheal and Jen are very proud of their purveyors as well they should be. A must have for sure and very well explained when presented by our server. The scallops were done perfectly. Next time, which will be soon, we will try the bolognese dish if still on the menu as it changes regularly. Cheers and see you soon.

Small but delicious menu. The dumplings were perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce. The burrata was fresh with ripe melon and an interesting smoked prosciutto. Would highly recommend.
