Carol Balentine

On September 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian slammed the coast of Florida, destroying everything in its path. Some of the most damaged areas were the older communities around Fort Myers. Most of those communities housed retirees and senior citizens.

One of those destroyed homes belonged to 78-year-old Carol Balentine. The mother of loved Stunt man and stunt coordinator Shawn Balentine. For the last 8 years, Carol has been an indispensable pillar of strength to her community. From renting out her extra rooms to veterans in need and volunteering at the local American legion.

Carol's home was completely destroyed during the flood brought on by the hurricane. With water levels reaching the ceiling, nothing was salvageable. She lost everything, including Clothing, furniture, photo albums, baby pictures, and all the small nick-nacks she has picked up during her remarkable 78 years on this planet.
