'Indian 3' to be out 6 months after 'Indian 2' release; Kamal Haasan and Shankar reveals

The 17th edition of the IPL match is underway and the league is coming towards an end as RCB won the match last night and entered the play offs. Before the match between CSK and RCB last night, Kamal Haasan and Shankar joined the commentators in at the Tamil comentary box and shared an important update regarding their upcoming film.
The makers have started the promotions of 'Indian 2' and speaking at the promotional event, Kamal Haasan revealed that the film's post - production works are underway and that it will be eyeing for a release in January 2025.The actor also confirmed that the film is threequel (has three parts) and the third part 'Indian 3' will be released 6 months after the release of the sequel.
The film is the official sequel to the 1996 cult classic film 'Indian'. That was also directed by Shankar and starred Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The veteran actor said that he had agreed to be part of the 'Indian' franchise only after Shankar narrated him both the second and third part at once before he officially signed.
'Indian 2' is an action flick and the film stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Priya Bahvani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Brahmanandam, Nedumodu Venu, Kalidas Jayaram among others in important roles and the music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The makers are yet to share the release plan of the movie and it is still yet to be announced on who is part of the cast of 'Indian 3'. Meanwhile Kamal Haasan has started the movie promotions and he is now in Mumbai.
