So much history and you can spend an entire day in there. Knowledgeable staff that you don’t have to second guess and a great gift shop.

Small, as most botanical gardens go, but really lovely gardens with a few different paths to walk and a large bridge to walk with a beautiful view of the gardens below. There's a small gift shop as well. It's worth a stop while in the Fayetteville area.

When the Air Force museum was closed due to Christmas holidays, we decided to tour the 1897 Poe House instead. Check the website for tour times. It was our lucky day since Ruth, in Victorian costume, enthusiastically shared her great knowledge of all things Victorian and Poe. The restored house decorated for Christmas Victorian style with green swags and red ribbons was a joy to see. Ruth explained items in each room bringing the place to life. The museum next door explains Cape Fear history very well and is also worth a visit. There is no admission cost but both venues are well deserving of a donation if you visit. So glad we took this tour.

Nice trail to walk. We only had time to walk partially. There is a small waterfall here that we were hoping to see, but dusk was approaching and they do close the park. The walk is quite lovely though coming across a small bridge over a pond and listening to the frogs here.

The farm is a apparently a well known and popular farm with in season picking available, farm animals, a concert area, and on the corner of a fairly busy road, they have their own homemade ice cream stand in an old farmhouse. This is what we visited while on an overnight stay in Fayetteville. The ice cream was very good. I had Strawberry with Chocolate Syrup and it was very good. You can sit at some picnic tables and eat your ice cream.

Great monument to NC Veterans from all branches of the US Military. This is a great way to honor veterans. I specifically liked the displays showing NCs participation in wars & conflicts from the Civil war thru The Gulf conflicts.

CFRT outdid themselves once again with the production of Matilda. It was outstanding! CFRT is truly one of Fayetteville’s highlights

The museum has a free parking lot in the back. Admission is free (there is a donation box near the front desk, if you are so inclined). There are 2 floors providing an excellent regional history. There is also a section about the civil rights movement. There is a gift shop. COVID-19: face coverings are required of visitors as is social distancing. To assist in that, there are arrows on the floor to indicate the flow of traffic through the museum. The employees also wear masks.

I have been here several times since I discovered this place existence.

I came with my family which consisted of Mostly all young adults and 1 teen. This is a Great family activity no matter how inexperienced the climber.

My husband and I came here as a couple with friends and it was a great date night with friends.

My oldest adult son and I would come weekly for regularly skills training and work out and look forward to getting back into a weekly routine the start of the new year.

Great hang out with my girlfriends while their young kids enjoy the special kid friendly climbing equipment.
One of the young instructors is amazing with kids and she is a highly skilled competitor in her field. (ask for Nadia)

The atmosphere is family friendly and creative as the walls are constantly redesigned regularly to challenge skills from the least experience to the most experiences climber (my friend Ranger instructor).

It’s a great activity to do on cold raining days and they have all the equipment for rent there.

My wife and I stopped in Fayetteville on the way to Jacksonville and walked the downtown area, including the center of town, which is occupied by this historic building. The building seems to be in better shape these days, compared to some earlier reports of vandalism and a barricade positioned around the building. The downtown area seems very nice, with many restaurants and shops.
