President William McKinley High School Reviews
Rating 3.72 out of 5 418 reviews
During my 4 years in McKinley, I was able to make all sorts of friends and take all sorts of classes of my choice. As I am pursuing a Business Major in College, I would say that the Business Academy in McKinley has helped me get ahead and ready for college. Some teachers throughout the years were really helpful and I was able to build a strong relationship with them. However, some were quite careless and no matter how much I asked for help, they could not spare their time for me and it became very frustrating. I would hope for the future students who enter McKinley is that the teacher involvement with students is better, and this helps others build relationships with their teachers just like I have.
Here at McKinley, we are striving to do our best whether we are in person or distance learning. The teachers and counselors are always there if you have any questions or need any help. The campus is big and large. It provides so many different learning experiences. However, if you are in distance learning be prepared to sometimes not participate in activities that are in person. Since being in distance learning, your purpose is to stay away from others, they don't have options to have online functions for those who can't attend any in person functions.
Having graduated from McKinley High School, my overall journey was truly remarkable. Over the course of my four years, I had the privilege of forming connections with numerous individuals, particularly upperclassmen during my freshman year. Throughout my time there, I was fortunate to never experience bullying; people treated me with genuine respect, even in cases where we were unfamiliar with each other. The educators were equally commendable, serving as mentors I could look up to whenever I encountered academic challenges. The sole drawback I encountered during my time at McKinley was witnessing certain students opting to skip their classes. This is an aspect I hope to see evolve within the school—emphasizing the importance of focusing on one's studies. It saddens me to observe fellow students veering off track by missing classes and potentially heading down an unproductive path.
