A couple of kings.
It looks like actors Justice Smith and Nicholas Ashe are back together. The pair made their red carpet debut as boyfriends, hand in hand, at the GQ Men of the Year event last week. Held in West Hollywood at the Edition Hotel, the event honored cover stars like Lil Nas X and Tom Holland.

Smith and Ashe made headlines in June 2020, when Smith opened up about his sexuality by announcing the pair were dating. In a post on Instagram, Smith, who has done major work as an actor in projects like Genera+ion, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, wrote that "As a Black queer man myself, I was disappointed to see certain people to say Black Lives Matter, but hold their tongue when Trans/Queer was added." he was referring to the ongoing protests in New Orleans.
In a bid to "show some Black boy joy, Black love, Black queer love," he posted a few photos, one of which was a photobooth seris of the pair kising.
"You 've been my rock and guiding light through all of this and I love you so much," he wrote of Ashe. "I know that on the other side of this is change, though the fight is far from over."
Months later, in August, Ashe penned a sweet Happy Birthday message that he posted to Instagram.
"Justice, you have been the author of all my recent smiles," Ashe wrote. "You make me feel safe. seen. heard. inspired. admired. returning the favor has been my favorite adventure. I've always appreciated your authenticity, and brilliance, and passion, but you have certainly outdone yourself this year. Bravo."
In early 2021, fans began to notice what seemed to be a breakup as both had wiped their Instagram accounts. Smith confirmed this in an interview in April, saying "we're no longer together, but [the relationship] really opened me up as a person."
Smith also posted a photo of the pair at the GQ event with hearts.
