Jerry G I'm almost embarrassed that it took me this long to see this beautiful documentary about a man that I knew almost nothing about! Baseball and Arnold Hano's connection to it is at the heart of this terrific film by Jon Leonoudakis, but its soul is the story of Hano's remarkable and full life, his long marriage, his roots, his incredible career, his causes. Arnold just died in October 2021 and this film came out in 2015, when he was "only" 93, and he is an excellent on-camera interview. His time on screen is enhanced by interviews with other writers, as well as ballplayers, and Leonoudakis employs some creative imagery as well. I'll watch this again and share it to friends. In his 99 years on Earth, Mr. Hano lived an amazing life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
