This was our second stay at the W, with the first being several years ago. More recently, we stayed at the Ritz Carlton (next to the W) and at the St Regis. All things considered, W was our favorite even without factoring in the cost (for our dates, Ritz was about US$ 75 more per night and St Regis was $150 more per night).
We booked a corner room and were assigned one that faced the apartment buildings/Elements mall on one side and the ICC tall building (Ritz is on the top floors of ICC) on one side. There was also a limited Harbor view between these buildings that gave us partial view of Hong Kong skyline across the bay. The room was very nice. The shower and bathtub also had full length windows. They have one of the best showers of any hotel as the regular and rain showers have separate knobs and the pressure on both are excellent.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel was fantastic – Selection, quality and service. This was where the W really stood out compared to the Ritz and St Regis. I think the latter two would be adequate if I was traveling on business but we like to eat a more leisurely and lavish breakfast on vacation. Most 5-star hotels in Asia provide the variety, quality and service like the W whereas the Ritz and St Regis are more like what you expect in the US.
One other thing I really like about the W and the Ritz: They are located above the Kowloon station. Hence, you can take the Airport express to/from airport and it only takes 20 minutes (we bought our tickets on Klook which are 20-30% cheaper than buying at the airport or station and the tickets are electronic). Also, you can take the metro to Central side of the island, which is just one stop away. When heading to the airport, you can check-in with your airline at the station (just like you would at the airport – drop off your checked bags and collect your boarding pass. I don't know if every airline has a counter at the station but major ones do). Head straight to security and immigration once you arrive at the airport. Also, the Elements mall under the hotel is really nice with lot of upscale shops and dining options.

I don't even know where to start from... I had such a FANTASTIC experience from the time we stepped foot into W until we took a taxi back home. My SO told me that he was in communication with Francis to book the room and make arrangements for my birthday; he said Francis was extremely friendly and professional throughout their conversations. When we checked in, Marco was very polite and helpful at the front desk. When we got to our room (the Cool Corner room) there were balloons and a sweet happy birthday message written by Jackie on the bed. Despite the rain, the view of Hong Kong Island was still amazing! From the bathtub area, we had a beautiful view of the Hong Kong bay. It was certainly the fanciest bath I've had in my life! The room was impeccably clean and I liked its minimal, modern decoration. We then went for a walk and when we got back there was a chocolate cake with two Mojitos on the table. I honestly felt like a princess being spoiled by my admirers! Whenever we needed anything, Melody responded to the "Whatever, whenever" telephone button and was eager to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. We went to the pool, that also has a small bar for a convenient tropical drink as we swam enjoying the view of the city and the cool-looking mural decoration. The Woo Bar is worth grabbing a drink at! Its slick decoration will make your photos look gorgeous. Also, I highly recommend not skipping the breakfast. Chefs cook fresh food: eggs (any kind you want), soups, noodles, dim sum, etc. right in front of you. Even though it's a buffet, I can tell they work hard to make it slightly personalized to cater to people's needs. I also saw chefs walking around supervising the pastries area, so you know they want to make sure everything is in order. When we checked out, we were still treated with the most absolute politeness and excellence of service. The room was great and comfortable, the view was breathtaking, and the service was simply PERFECT. I was honestly amazed at how seriously they take the concept of good service. I have never felt so well taken care of like I felt by the crew of W. I can't wait for this pandemic to be over so we can go to their pool parties. Again, special thanks to Francis and Jackie that made our incredible staycation possible! I'll never forget my 33rd birthday at W!

I brought a bottle of champagne and asked for ice bucket upon arrival, we popped the Champagne and enjoy a glass before dinner, then we head out for dinner, the in room dining team is sweet enough to prepare a fresh ice bucket for us without even asking them to do so! So we can carrying on with the ice cold champagne once we back in the hotel room. And the birthday cake was promptly delivered at 10pm as I requested, the cake is sooo delicious! I believe all 5 stars hotels are well equipped and nicely decorated, but what makes the difference are the helpful and friendly staff. A Nice experience to celebrate the anniversary day in W Hotel HK with my boyfriend! The room is clean, spacious and with a wonderful ocean view. We would like to compliment W hotel team, especially thanks to Rangela, Kitty, and Keith. They are really nice, professional and helpful to provide us a memorable stay. As the toilet was clogged unfortunately, Rangela followed up the case and helped us to settle the problem immediately. Moreover, when we made a request for having our breakfast in hotel room due to COVID-19, her service was brilliant and let us enjoy our breakfast in a more comfortable and hygienic environment. A celebration card with nice greeting and the in-room dessert from Kitty were also impressed. We Love them so much! Last but not least, when we checked out, Keith from front desk was so friendly to provide me a large reusable bag for me to put my florid flower. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again:)!

stayed at 2Oct2020, a long weekend in hong kong during covid period when everyone has nothing to do apart from staycation. waited an hour for check in. numerous staff on the floor but only 1 computer to checkin on G floor and 2 computers to checkin on 6/F; should consider to fire all the staff in suits looming around just asking guests to line up instead of offering solutions. long queue to checkin on G/F & 6/F, can hardly imagine this chaotic situation happened in W hotel. dropped down our luggage cos room wasn't ready even at 5pm. complained to cs on the 6/F and she said every hotel has a line for checkin today. i told her i will never stay in w again, tried 4 season for staycation so shared my experience to shut her up. finally room ready at 630pm. grated a late checkout at 2pm (that's y their rooms can never be ready at 3pm)
pool was flooded with guests as one can imagine after seeing the chaotic checkin queue. a long queue outside kitchen for breakfast, so we asked for inroom breakfast, took a 45 min wait as advised over the phone, i don't think we had any other choice. not patient enough to wait 45min in the room so it took another 30min for delivery cos we were out of the room when our breakfast was on 1st time delivery. asked for 2 extra large towels but unavailable, the cleaning lady was very apologetic, said too many guests and can't find extra towels for us, gave me 4 small hair towels.
if w hong kong can't handle full capacity, please don't offer staycation offers. feel sorry for the front line staff, house keeping etc. especially front desk, kept apologizing rooms aren't ready, which is none of their fault.

Stayed one night in the Marvellous Suite. Room was clean and well-appointed with nice facilities. Extra time was spent to disinfect the suite and change the air conditioner filters after the previous guest had checked out. Staff at the W Hong Kong were very helpful and prompt with multiple requests throughout the day and overnight. Late night in room dining options were decent. W Experience Manager, Sammy, ensured my guests and I had an enjoyable time at the hotel.

My friend and I spent a wonderful weekend at W Hong Kong for birthday celebration. I am so impressed and overwhelmed by the W Experience Team, especially Sammy and Kitty for the awesome in-room deco and their warm hospitality as well as excellent customer services during my stay.
The fanatic suite I stayed was cosy and spacious with a great sea view. The W Hong Kong also offered face masks, alcohol wipes and disinfection hand sprays for in-room guests, which is a considerate act to me in view of recent severe situation of COVID-19.
I would like to again thank you Sammy and her team’s effort to make my staycation at W Hong Kong be a perfect one. I am sure I will come visit again very soon.

When I booked the staycation plan I thought it would be yet another ordinary experience with room with nice view and facilities. However the W journey was beyond of my expectation!
It started with a warm greet by the reservation and experience team to understand my needs. Staff handling the check-in was very smooth and were able to fulfill my ad-hoc requests. More surprisingly was the effort put by the experience team in decorating the room when I first entered the room, as well as after the delicious dinner. The staffs at the pool were also very friendly and professional to handle our personal belongings.
I'd definitely choose W Hong Kong again given their beyond-standard hardware but most importantly the personalized service by every team members in W!

We have enjoyed a wonderful staycation at W Hong Kong for 2021 Easter. Their Marvelous Suite is equipped with an incredible view of the dazzling ocean that shines through its bay windows. It has a spacious living room with fun and savvy technology. The bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is suited with a large bathtub for having a relaxing spa. The overall cleanness of the suite is excellent as well. W Hong Kong also provided masks and hand sensitizers for guests. Despite it is the Easter holiday, the room is already available when we arrived at the hotel. The efficiency is very good.
During our stay, we tried their F&B as well. The quality of their breakfast buffet has improved a lot compared to last time. It is very welcome to see that W Hong Kong has taken real consideration the feedback from the guests. The breakfast buffet is now with wider options on the food. We also had a truffle afternoon tea set at WOOBAR. The afternoon tea was good and it is quite interesting to have “Truffle” as the theme, which once again made us surprised with every bite. We tried the dinner set at SINGYIN as well. The new set menu specially crafted by their Executive Chinese Chef Johnny Chan was innovative and the taste is gorgeous. Overall speaking, we are very satisfied with the F&B.
Taking this opportunity, we would like to thank Sammy (Loyalty Manager) for her arrangement and assistance along with our stay, no matter the preparation work in advance or during the stay. Also, we would like to thank Sean (Style Head Shift Leader) for his good arrangement of the room. And, thanks to all the staff who have helped us. The warm hospitality from W Hong Kong is definitely one of the reasons for us to revisit again in the future, especially trying other types of suites!

This is the first time I visit kitchen, the name "kitchen" are funny for me and my friends. Right after we settle down on table, one of the waiter came to pass an envelope for keeping our masks and noticing us we have to put on mask while taking food, we can see Kitchen really concern about hygiene and this make us feel safe. Afterward we look for foods, the types of food are really rich like dim sums, sashimi, sushi, and different kind of desserts, the most I like was the lobsters from the grilled seafood platter. Also the oysters, it’s really fresh. More than that, waiters and waitress from kitchen were acting very actively and fast, the moment I finished my food, they came to pick up my dishes. I remember a waitress called Yan, she introduced us about the grilled seafood platter really detail and about the wine we ordered. Overall, this is a fantastic experience for me and my friends, i will definitely come again and suggest to my friends if needed. By the way the sea view from kitchen are wonderful, at about 1830, the sun set are really charming. I look forward for the next visit to W Hong Kong and to kitchen.
