Graduate of 2024 here. Heard good things about the school from a parent’s perspective then transferred from La Puente High School to Wilson & honestly wish I never did. It’s not a bad school if you’re a nerd, especially if you’re Asian, then this would be a perfect school for you but for me I just liked to have more freedom and I feel like La Puente high school gave me more of that. There was more activities and that whole school was just more energized than Glen A Wilson high school. This school is basically really boring if you’re looking to have any fun in high school including the graduation, I’ve seen Los Altos and La Puente high school have fireworks. Our graduation was the lamest graduation I have ever attended in my life. At the end of the day, I am glad that I got my diploma and left now I am going to one of the UC schools. Very happy. Thank you
There are many parts of this school that I would like to see changed, yet there are parts I love seeing while going there. The bathrooms are hardly ever open and they have like one bathroom open during the day. However, the teachers, such as the ones who teach the biomed courses and the engineering teacher, are some of the best teachers out of my years in public school.
The best parts of Glen A. Wilson high school is all the pathways that they offer to help prepare students for college and career readiness. I personally am in the business pathway and thanks to an amazing teacher I was able to learn more basic business skills to help me in future endeavors. The worst though comes from the state of the facilities. The restrooms are almost never clean and many of the classrooms are outdated in furniture, lighting, projectors, and in quality of internet in the classrooms.
