To send a message to the Mayor, email letterforthemayor@cityofchicago.org. Any comments, suggestions, letters, etc. should be sent to this email.
3. How do I receive a photo I took with the Mayor?
To access a picture you took with the Mayor that was taken by the Mayor’s official photographer, send an email to photoservices@cityofchicago.org. Include the date the picture was taken and a short description of the event. Allow 3-5 business days for processing after your request is sent. If you want a hard copy, click the “buy” icon in the reply email and follow the instructions step-by-step.
4. How do I request a proclamation or letter from the Mayor?
All city departments are separate agencies who process their own FOIA requests. The Mayor’s Office only handles requests regarding: Mayor’s public calendar, press releases, state and federal legislative records and ordinances, policy proposals, initiative summaries, and policy research and analysis. If your request pertains to one of these categories, then email your request to MOfoia@cityofchicago.org. Include the name, mailing address, and contact information of the requester and a description of the records being requested.
