Alejandro Santo Domingo

This year he has climbed 13 places in the Bloomberg Billionaire Index and with a family wealth of US$12.6 billion, which has increased by US$1.18 billion so far this year, he is now ranked 152nd. He is a Harvard historian and in 2011 took over the reins of the family business after the death of his father. In the last year he divested the Santo Domingo family’s stake in JDE Peet’s NV. In addition, he has launched the construction of a biomass plant in the eastern plains of Colombia in partnership with Electricité de France.
