Redondo Union High School has an abundance of resources compared to most schools. They offer 4 different career pathway electives you can take throughout high school such as biomedical sciences, business, computer science and engineering. The programs prepare students who wish to pursue a career in any of these fields. In addition, once a student becomes a junior they work one on one with a college counselor who will help them throughout the application process. Besides resources, the school has a rich social scene. The school gets a lot of funding so they go all out for football games, senior events, formal and homecoming. In addition, there are a wide variety of clubs a student can get involved in from volunteer, activism, recreational, and more. There are also over 3000 students attending the high school so there are ample opportunities to meet new people and interact with others.
My experience in Redondo Union High school has been overall great, the best parts are the resources I have for college, tutoring for academics and SAT, friends, teachers are supportive and their are many activities to do from clubs to sports and volunteering. The school holds fun events and games. I would say the thing that needs to change is bias in some sports team with the coach, some students should be looked more on by the school because of how they act and overall they aren't that great as a person or student. I would mostly change the students who are bringing the schools reputation down and they are taking the school for granted when other students on a wait list would use the school better and not take it for granted.
My high school experience has been quite the rollercoaster ride, with its fair share of highs and lows, although the The best part is Definitely the amazing people I've met along the way and the incredible diversity within our school community. It's been eye-opening to interact with peers from different backgrounds and cultures, and it has enriched my high school journey in so many ways. From sharing stories to learning about new perspectives, the friendships I've forged here have been truly invaluable. Now, onto the not-so-great part. One major issue has been the lack of seriousness from some of the school staff when it comes to important matters. For instance, during a lockdown situation, some teachers didn't seem to grasp the gravity of the situation or take the necessary precautions.
