Brad Kaplan Joins LINK Entertainment As Partner In Literary Expansion
EXCLUSIVE: Veteran manager/producer Brad Kaplan has joined LINK Entertainment as a partner. Kaplan, who comes from Primary Wave Entertainment, will work out of LINK’s West L.A. offices which were expanded last month in part to make room for the company’s growing literary department.
“We have had the privilege to work with Brad in the past and he has been a friend for over 15 years,” the LINK partners said in a statement. “He is one of the smartest and most genuine people we have had the pleasure to collaborate with. As we expand our literary/production division, we couldn’t ask for a better partner. We have always admired Brad’s incredible taste in both clients and material”.

Kaplan started his career at Silver Pictures where he worked as a production executive and worked on such films as Lethal Weapon 4, Conspiracy Theory, Executive Decision and The Matrix. He later went into management/production and became a partner at Evolution Entertainment. He transitioned to Primary Wave following Primary’s 2014 acquisition of Evolution. He is the latest talent manager to leave Primary Wave as the company last year decided to scale back on Hollywood representation.
Kaplan’s clients include Assaf Bernstein (Warrior, Fauda), Michael Werwie (Netflix’s Sundance 2019 acquisition Extremely Wicked starring Zac Efron), Susan McMartin (Mom), Michael Redford (upcoming Al Pacino starrer King Lear), David Loughery (The Intruder), Patrik-Ian Polk (Being Mary Jane), Wayne Conley (Greenleaf), Christy Stratton (Bless the Harts), Nick Darrow & Seth Raab (LA to Vegas), Elizabeth Elverenli (I Am Not Okay With This), Taylor Vaughn Lasley (Family Reunion), and Erik White (The Trap).
As producer, Kaplan has Sony Screen Gems’ The Intruder, starring Dennis Quaid, Meagan Good and Michael Ealy set for release on May 3. He’s also producing the upcoming Assaf Bernstein feature, Valet, starring Noah Continuo, May You Live In Interesting Times with Basil Iwanyk and Circle of Confusion and Blackwing with Voltage Pictures. Kaplan is also developing the Stephen King novel Rose Madder as a feature.
Kaplan’s previous producing credits include Look Away, the Lee Daniels film Tennessee, Warner Brother’s Lottery Ticket, Submerged and Mr. Church. While at Evolution, Brad also produced the experimental viral feature Vlog for Twisted Pictures (creator of the Saw franchise), which garnered over 10 million online views. On the TV production side, Kaplan is an executive producer on two projects in development, Rodeo at Bravo and Six at Crackle.
LINK Entertainment was established 15 years ago by Brian Wilkins, Ben Levine, Erik Kritzer and Adam Griffin. They recently brought over veteran talent managers, Brad Stokes and Tammy Rosen.
LINK currently has 14 managers that are spread among talent, literary, production, reality and a book division. Partners at the company are currently producing Spell for Paramount Players, CBS’ comedy pilot Carol’s Second Act starring Patricia Heaton and the Hallmark wheel of movies Darrow and Darrow starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Recent production credits also include Accident Man for Sony, indie Asher starring Ron Perlman and Richard Dreyfuss, Amazon’s Hand of God which ran for two seasons, Marc Forster’s All I See Is You starring Blake Lively and Jason Clarke and The Last Movie Star for A24 which was Burt Reynolds’ last film.
LINK clients include Christina Hendricks, Ron Perlman, Kelsey Grammer, Morris Chestnut, Michael Sheen, Patricia Heaton, Ryan Kwanten, Jaina Lee Ortiz (Station 19), Meena Masoud (Aladdin), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men Apocalypse), Stephen Graham, Chevy Chase, Rocky Carroll, Cary Elwes, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Jon Tenney, Esai Morales, Ashley Simpson, Ming Na Wen and Michael Rooker. On the literary side clients include best selling author Tom Bissell (The Disaster Artist, Uncharted 4), Maria Melnik (Escape Room), Tali Shalom-Ezer (My Days of Mercy), Pablo Aguero (Eva Doesn’t Sleep), Francesca Sloane (The First) and Black List writers Stephanie Carrie and Ryan Jennifer Jones.
