Hermann Fegelein, SS-Gruppenführer, born October 30, 1906 in Ansbach, commander of the 8th SS Cavalry Division “Florian Geyer,” wounded in action four times, liaison officer to the Führer, winner of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords, married to Gretl Braun – the sister of Eva Braun, injured in the assassination attempt against Hitler on July 20, 1944 at Rastenburg, executed by firing squad on Hitler’s orders on April 28, 1945 in Berlin, said of the Dirlewanger SS Regiment (composed of a large proportion of criminals) in the Warsaw Uprising: “My Führer, they are real low-lifes.”  (2000 Quotations from Hitler’s Thousand Year Reich)
