A high school which was previously warned its standards were slipping has earned glowing praise from inspectors.

Taverham High School has been rated good across the board in its latest Ofsted inspection.

It was the school's first inspection since 2019 when inspectors said they were concerned its standards were slipping.

However, its latest visit saw the regulator laud the school's "ambitious and interesting curriculum", saying leaders had "raised expectations about what pupils can achieve".

Headteacher Roger Harris, who took over in September last year, said he was very proud of the result.

He said: "The days when schools could perform on the day are gone, so this result is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at the school to bring about change for the benefit of our young people.

"We fully acknowledge we are not perfect and there is always more than needs to be done, however, a visit at this time not only makes us proud of what we have achieved so far, but shows we are making the right decisions about our direction of travel."
