couldn't open excel file online (one drive)

Can the colleagues you shared this document with open it normally? If they can access the document normally, then you can ask them to save the file before sharing it with you. If all the users who shared this file are unable to access it, then I kindly suggest you to send an email to OneDrive support team. Since no member of the Microsoft community has access to the OneDrive servers to help you locate your file, a specialist from the OneDrive team will be able to provide you with further assistance regarding this issue.
