Cox Television has named Cox veteran sales executive Tim McVay the VP and general manager of KTVU-TV, San Francisco, effective immediately. Mr. McVay, who reports to Bruce Baker, executive VP of Cox Television, succeeds Jeff Block, who was recently promoted to a new position to develop strategic digital projects for Cox Television.

“Tim has been with Cox Television for 25 years and has demonstrated strong leadership ability and met every challenge along the way,” Mr. Baker said. “His experience and knowledge of the broadcasting business will be a great asset to KTVU-TV.”

Mr. McVay was most recently general sales manager at Cox-owned WSB-TV in Atlanta.
