Joettia Morrow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Apr. 3, 2024.
Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us angels are watching over us.
Jody "Nana" Lynn Morrow, 68, left this earth Thursday, March 28, 2024, at home in Moore, Oklahoma after a fierce battle with lung cancer. It would be wrong to say Nana lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. She was born April 29, 1955, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Joe and Lillie Morrow. Nana has called many places home from Mather AFB, CA, K.I. Sawyer AFB, MI, to Moore, OK - but Derby, KS was home to her.
Nana is survived by her Dad, Joe Morrow of Waynesville, Ohio; her two daughters, Kirsten Hildreth of Derby, KS, and Angela (Corey) Holloway of Moore, OK; four grandchildren that lit up her life and meant the world to her, Tanner (Baylee) Hildreth, Dylan (Maddi) Hildreth, Lillie Holloway, and Owain Holloway; three great-grandchildren, Jade Hildreth, Karter Hildreth, and Malcolm Hildreth; sister Robyn Morrow of Burlington, KY; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by granddaughter Sierra Craig, Mother Lillie Morrow, and brother Jeff Morrow.
Nana was a kind woman who dedicated her entire life to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them play sports and has never missed a school program. She loved her dog Jax dearly, along with all furry family pets.
Nana was never one that wanted to be center of attention and requested to not have a formal funeral. Therefore, we are celebrating her life with a small come-and-go celebration of life that will take place at a later date.
A large, loving, and gentle presence in our family is gone. A rock upon which we all would lean. Our tall tree has fallen softly and peacefully to the ground, our days now longer and less colorful for it. Rest in love Momma, 'til we meet again.
