First time visit - hotels etc

We are considering Lido de Jesolo in August with 2 teenagers. Can’t decide between there and Costa del Sol where we have visited many times.

There appears to be mixed reviews about Lido de Jesolo. Some people love it and others think it is run down or tacky. Are there any good hotels with a pools, close to beach, restaurants, shops and public transport? Is it suitable for teenagers? Are the beaches private or can anyone use them?

Any advice would be appreciated.
