Sorry if these questions been asked and answered before, I've searched this forum, youtube etc and not found the xact info I need.

I just bought a 2013 PFl 8V - 1.6tdi S-line A3 sportback. I was surprised it didnt have rear parking sensors as my old 2005 S-line did, I just assumed they were standard kit.
So question is If I buy a used genuine Audi rear bumper off ebay with factory fitted sensors, is it just plug and play ie are all the connections for the sensor loom somewhere under the bumper and then someone just plugs in a VCDS and ticks a box and they work or is it a bit more involved than that? Do you need any more parts like a control module, extra wiring etc

It also doesnt have power folding mirrors but I need them as my street is narrow and busy with traffic - can I buy some same year power folding mirrors from ebay or from a scrap yard and a new switch and will they plug and play or do they need vcds coding and any extra bits? I think I've read if the car has electric windws and child locks then they should have the correct wing mirror modules to work? Someones done a facelift front end on this car before I got it and the mirros have indicators that do that sweeping sequence thing.

The car has a pop up screen on the dash but no sat nav installed just basic radio info etc. Whats the best way to upgrade/get sat nav /iphone aps etc onto the existing system/screen without braking the bank or paying an audi dealer? I've seen guides for chinese car play diy fitting for around £200 for hardware and wiring. I'm guessing you cant just buy a pre loaded newer geuine Audi headunit from a scrapyard and plug and play..

Last one is its had a face lift from end but have some issues with error codes saying various lights/ indicators arent working. I drove it at night and side/headlights seem to work but no indicators appear in the front light clusters (just wing mirrors at front) and got a headlight range error warning - wheres best to get that sorted?

like I said apologies if these questions are answered elsewhere, I had a good look for a few hours and couldnt find the exact info I needed - any help gratefully received

the answer is no... you'll need the module that the sensors actually plug into, than a VCDS session to have it coded in. but if you got a reverse camera setup, you really do not need the sensors. But yeah it can be retrofitted if you get the complete setup... and as soon as you've done that you'll realize the module has space for front sensors too

hi mate thanks for the info, so I need genunie rear sensors & loom from a similar model audi plus a module probably from the same donor vehicle, anything else? where does the module live and what does it plug into please or how does it get connected to the system so it can be vcds coded tot he screen please?

I got a different model than you so i don't have the specifics... but the Parkassistant setup hasn't changed, in mine it lives in the back ns bottom of the boot, it has one cable connected to the CCM module, 1 cable connected to the rear parking sensors and space for the cable for the front parking sensors ( my car did not come from the factory with the front ones) anyway.. you can buy Kufatec cables to retrofiit the lot, i suggest that if you are going to retrofit you get their cables as they'll come with a manual to fit it in.

actually you've got a PFL there is more to it than just the Parkassistant module, look on www.Kufatec.com you might rethink this option once you see the full price of the the retrofit kit(it does come with everything though)
