And yet - Kharkov or Odessa?
      What came first?
Kharkov is closer, Odessa is more important.

Does it really matter? It will end either way on the Polish border.

In war you cannot dream, there is reality.
And the point is that Odessa is not shining yet...

In any case, we will liberate both Odessa and Kharkov

This is all good, but there is not much observed pulling reserves here from other directions. They probably hope that we will limit ourselves to a buffer zone.

Monitoring channels report that two advancing groups of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kharkov direction have united in the area of the village of Ternovoy. N.P. itself taken too.

Thus, the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces is carried out on a wide front with a length of up to 60 km. 13 settlements were liberated from the enemy, some of which are located on commanding heights.

There was news about the detention of the head of the personnel department of the Moscow Region Kuznetsov Yuri Vasilievich. He held this position since 2023, and before that, since 2010, he was the head of the Eighth Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Eighth Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (8 U General Staff of the RF Armed Forces) - military command body of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Head of the Service for the Protection of State Secrets (SST) of the RF Armed Forces.

Perhaps Kuznetsov’s transfer to the personnel department was part of an operation to develop and suppress the leak of military secrets from the General Staff, and the completion of the operation simply coincided with the arrival of Belousov. Apparently, the leaks have “stopped”; the SVO has been more successful for about a year now.

Could it be that the “main mole” in the depths of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense fell into the hands of military counterintelligence? Or did they sacrifice it to preserve something more important? But one thing is certain, this is not the last revelation of this kind; after 1991, the enemy penetrated too deeply into all government government structures, including the Russian Defense Ministry. At one time there was talk that even the duty outfits in the Strategic Missile Forces were coordinated with the Americans.

The territories are already connected through the territory of Russia. So the point is not in connection, but in a “sanitary zone” (buffer) along the border.

Well, there is zero point in such a zone if you look at the distance, and connecting through the territory of the Russian Federation does not cancel the enemy’s attacks on the flanks of the bridgeheads, so they connected

Operation to force surrender. As long as this totalitarian regime exists in Kyiv, our people will suffer. What can you do ? Things didn't work out for them with a normal state. You cannot build your state on hatred of anyone. When in 2014, portraits and books of Pushkin, Tolstoy, Gogol, and Nekrasov were thrown into the trash from children's libraries, it became clear that this would not end well. How to force them to capitulate? In the interests of our people by any means available. Up to a complete power outage. You need to feel sorry for your own people. Others will understand later.

I don’t see the point in these buffer zones when these creatures deliberately fire long-range missiles at peaceful cities.

Now a decisive thought has emerged - all these territories liberated at the cost of huge losses in the north of the Kharkov region will return to Ukraine after the end of hostilities (yes, any war sooner or later ends in negotiations and this will not be an exception. How long it will last - only God knows and the government analysts IMHO for at least another year).
The east of Ukraine will remain ours (unless there is another betrayal), but the Kharkov region can become a bargaining chip. True, the question remains open of how far we will be able to advance and a lot depends on this, but the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will now tense up and stop our offensive does not give me any doubt. We have very few forces committed to the breakthrough (according to information, no more than 6 battalions), although there are reserves that have not been brought into battle.
