Wastelanders, you need this

It’s been wonderful to see the Fallout fandom come back to life over the last few weeks.

Ever since Amazon’s Fallout aired, there’s been a renewed interest in the lore of the Wasteland.

A lot of players headed to Fallout 4 to start on their new journey outside the vaults, thanks to the Bethesda update nobody predicted was coming.

Despite being a necessary next-gen update the game needed, its arrival has caused issues for modders and mod users.

You really should check this out before playing Fallout 4...

Mods using the ‘Fallout 4 Script Extender’ suffered the most.

With another update arriving today, modders are concerned all over again that they’ll face yet more issues and bugs.

If you’re one of the worried parties eyeing this latest update with caution, you’ll want to download the ‘Fallout 4 Downgrader’.

As the name suggests, your save will be “downgraded” to its original “mod compatibility”.

Created by zerratar, this mod will “quickly revert Fallout 4 to its pre-next-gen version”, thus allowing you “to continue using mods that uses F4SE and Buffout”.

That’s already appealing for many fans. But now the mod will work “without [the] need of [a] Steam login”; it was a problem that some users initially ran into when the mod first launched.

Assuming everything works a-okay for you once you’ve installed this free download, you can get back to what really matters: building settlements.

Did you know that you might have been building them wrong all this time?

We too were cynical of such a claim, but it turns out you can easily miss out on details that’ll make the settlement life much easier.

Even now, after fighting our way to Shaun, we’re still learning new things about the dystopian world we call home in Fallout 4.

Hopefully, there’ll always been fellow players to help us out when we lose our way, but the Wasteland isn’t known for consistently being so kind.
